  1. Get the coach from Victoria Coach Station to Plymouth coach station. Then get a bus from Plymouth to Tavistock - it's not far.
  2. Best getting a coach to Exetet first , and then getting local bus / taxi
  3. Go from Victoria to Plymouth by national express. Then catch a local bus from Plymouth to Tavistock. Hope that helps. ps Definitely don't get off at Exeter and don't use a taxi; its about 18 miles form Plymouth
  4. I used a website called http://www.transportdirect.info that produced the following instructions: Start London: Victoria Coach Station leave 16:00 take National Express/Coach 500 towards Penzance: Bus Stn 5 hours 35 mins arrive 21:35 Saltash: North Rd Walk 2 mins to Fore Street Bottom, Fore Street, Saltash depart 22:08 Take FIRST (Devon & Cornwall)/76 towards Plymouth 20 mins arrive 22:28 Bretonside Bus Station, Exeter Street, Barbican Walk 1 min to Bretonside Bus Station, Exeter Street, Plymouth City Centre depart 22:40 Take FIRST (Devon & Cornwall)/ Bus 83 towards Tavistock 57 mins arrive 23:37 Tavistock Bus Stn
  5. Bty is right, get a coach to Exeter first.
  6. My advice - get the National express coach to Exeter. Then get a bus from Exeter to Tavistock which will take approx 50 minutes. DO NOT get the coach to Plymouth. Plymouth is an hour past Exeter on the coach. So if you go to Plymouth first then it'll take 60 extra mins from Exeter then 30 mins form Plymouth to Tavistock. Why go to Plymouth when you go past Exeter? The person above obviosuly lives in Plymouth and does not know the proper way. Hope that helps.
  7. ring national express, usually london to exeter then change for another coach
  8. Yep, the other answerers are spot on, head to Victoria Coach Station and take a National Express to Plymouth or Exeter and then get a local bus. To be honest the coach to Devon will take an age - I'd get the train myself or drive (not because it isn't a long way to drive but when you get there a car would useful because out in these places public transport obviously isn't what you'd find in a city). Hope that helps.
  9. YES - GO TO PLYMOUTH AND GET A BUS - (don't go via Exeter)
  10. Visit the Transport for London Journey Planner at: http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2?language=en it is by far the best way to sort your travel plan in London.
