USA Bus Lines

Does crime happen more often near bus stops?

Canadians examined criminal records in British Columbia a few years ago and found a higher incidence of reported crime within 300 meters of public transportation stops. Has anybody asked this question about your scheduled transit routes?

  6. Reported crime isn't the same thing as crime. It just means that someone reported a crime taking place. But upon investigation it could have been found that no crime actually occurred. Also, crimes occur which never get reported, so lots more crimes could be happening elsewhere which don't get reported. Then you also have to consider what crimes are being reported. Maybe they are petty crimes, like loitering or jaywalking.
  7. ITs Canada give me a break come to Los Angeles where people steal cars and kill people and ditch the cars.... To answer your question i believe there is more crime because poor people ride the bus(most of the time) and cant afford a car..and also its easy to get away cuz a cop is not gonna stop a bus...(very rare) lol
