Attending a new school?

See I have incredibly strict parents once it comes to "socializing" and I really would like to attend a new school, but the school is in Manhattan and I live in Brooklyn and that's about a 1 and a half hour ride by train. My friend who is also fed-up with our current school would like to come with me as well to this new school so how did YOU go about convincing your parents? And any suggestiong on how we can convince ours? Oh and here's a travel schedule my friend and I put together: (Bathe, pack school bag, and Iron clothes night before) 5: 45 - Wake up & Pray & Shower 6: 00- Eat breakfast & Dress & Prepare. 6: 15- Call friend & Catch bus 6: 30: - Meet friend and catch train 6:35 - 7: 50 ( MAXIMUM TRAIN RIDE TIME) 8: 30 - 3: 30 (SCHOOL) 3: 30 - 4: 45 (Train/H.W/Coming Home) Metro cards are provided free by the school by the way.

  1. I wrote an answer to this 15 minutes ago. It must have gotten lost. I you show your parents this outreach letter, and the answers you received. Contact you minister, the local major, and the principal at the school and make your sincere wishes known. They will respect you if you put it in writing and ask for a private counseling or informational interview. Get statitics from your police, and other offical local office on the crime, job rate, and population. Compare that to the new area so you can make a case for your safety and chances for great success. I believe you rmaturity and the way you handle this will speak for you. Good luck. I think they will allow it. Oh, be sure to work out the cost savings for travel, lunch, and school expenses.
  2. oh you get to ride the train? thats cool! where do ya'll live??
