Please help! Trying to convince parents to go to a new school?
Well, long story short: MY SCHOOL SUCKS! My friend and I are sophomores in high school and it's like I'm just wasting my education. The school is EXTREMELY small and it hold grades 1 through 12 plus daycare all in one building not to mention they don’t offer any special programs to help you go about pursuing the career of your choice. The only reason we attend it is because it’s close to home. Now, the school has another campus located in Manhattan (my friend and I live in Brooklyn). We know that’s a bit of a distance, but we are willing to do what it takes. Here’s a schedule we both came up with. (Bathe, pack school bag, and Iron clothes night before) 5: 45 - Wake up & Pray & Shower 6: 00 - Eat breakfast & Dress & Prepare. 6: 20 - Call friend & Catch bus 6: 45 -Meet friend and catch train 6: 45 - 8: 15 (TRAIN) School starts at 8:30. How do you think we can both go about convincing our parents to send us to this school? Metro cards are provided free by the school.

- lols same thing happen to me. When i was a freshmen I thought I was going to become a bum if I didnt go to another school. I begged my parents to like me go to a magnet school. I cried and told them that if Im a homeless pregnate bum 10 years later I'll know who to blame. Lols they let me sign up for an application and now this is my graduating year at the magnet school. try my excuse lol it may work.
- sit down with your parents and make a pro and con list of the reasons for going to a new school. Show it to your parents. Then explain how going to a new school can help your future. Show them your schedule for the morning. The only thing they are worried about is safety. Yes you will be with your friend but what will you do if she gets sick and can't go to school? New York is a big place with crazy people everywhere. Maybe you should take a class on how to protect yourself and then maybe your parents will let you do it. Good Luck!
