  1. From Guadalajara to Cancun, the way to go is by plane. As for bus schedules, depending on the company you're using. ETN is a top of the line bus carrier. http://etn.com.mx/ There are several other companies servicing GDL, such as Primera Plus. http://secure.primeraplus.com.mx/FAPWEB/Default.aspx?alias=secure.primeraplus.com.mx/fapweb/primeraplus
  2. As you know rhere are some 700 bus companies in Mexico and bus travel is huge. In thirty years I have never waited any longer than a half hour for a bus anywhere in Mexico. I believe the station that targets the Yucatan is "Tapo" in Mexico city. Its close to the airport. googlemaps.com (Tapo Mexico city) It is 1350 miles on a bus and takes 26 hours depending on traffic in D.F. Cost of a bus can run you a little ovr $120.00 dollars. Mexicana can get you there in 3hrs and 35 minutes $197.00
  3. if you want to go by bus, i live in mexico city and from here it will take you more than 20 hours to get to cancun by bus and it is closer than guadalajara, it is a very long trip so i recommend going by plane but here is a link where you can find different bus companies telephone numbers where you can call and ask. http://vive.guadalajara.gob.mx/Transporte/transpe.asp?Tipo=FOR_Camion&Titulo=For%C3%A1neo+Autobus here is also the airport website http://aeropuertosgap.com.mx/aeropuertos/guadalajara click on "aerolineas de guadalajara" on the left side, where you can fin more info good luck!
  4. There are many bus lines that go from Guadalajara to Mexico city...MANY runs hourly every day. Then , from Mexico City, you would do well to take the ADO bus to Cancun...and there are at least two runs a day. You really can just wait til you get to Guadalajara and go to the bus station and get the schedule and buy a ticket. You can peruse the sites below, but schedules could change, so best to wait and buy your tickets when you get to Guadalajara. The ETN website, as usual, is not functioning today...you cannot click to get the info...the little icon to click on sometimes simply is not visible on the page. Bus company websites FREQUENTLY do not work well. You can use Larpman's site to look around on.
