how to read a nj transit bus schedule?

http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0111.pdf heres the link to the bus schedule. i dont know which 1 means going to the destination and leaveing lol. I enjoy ur help i am getting on at union city. does to new york mean leaving jersey gardens?

1. I don't. Get directions from google maps and click on public transit. You can do "show options" to choose the time and date. 2. You read the schedule from left to right. So, for example, for the first schedule at the top, the bus leaves NYC port authority bus terminal at 8:15, gets at Union City at 8:23, then gets to Elizabeth at 8:49, and so on. The next bus leaves NYC port authority bus terminal at 9:15 and does the same thing. If you want to go in the other direction, look at the next page.
