USA Bus Lines

Are there any other bus lines available in the US besides Greyhound? I sure can't find any!!?

My friend just finished training for the military, and he gets a short time at home before he is deployed. I want to visit him in that span of time, but he lives in another state (apparently 5 hours away by Greyhound) and I have no car. I was planning on taking a bus down there for the day, but the Greyhound bus schedule has me arriving there at 1:35 pm and departing at 3:00!! Not going to cut it. Are there any other buses I could take that might have a different schedule? Please help me out!!! Thanks guys. I tried all those places, but none of them left from Michigan. And the train had me going from detroit to Chicago THEN to south bend, arriving me at like, 9 at night. Any other suggestions?

2. It depends on where to where in the US. Some parts, such as the Northeast, have many options. There's also regional buses in some locales. Other parts of the US just have Greyhound. Try www.busjunction.com, which is a search engine for buses. Or post the cities and we can see if there are other possibilities. Also check into the train (www.amtrak.com) Added: Spend the night.
