Spiritually speaking, why do hobos hang around bus stops all day but rarely ever board them?
They like to drink beer at bus stops. Why is that?
Public Comments
- They want a free hand out
- Bus stops were never intended to be boarded anyway. .
- Why don't you stop and ask one yourself?
- It's hobo's and trains! You ever try to drink a beer under water? oh look, some one who can drink beer under water!
- They're probably laughing at all the commuters being herded onto the buses like cattle to be driven to their place of employment where they'll do some menial task for a few hours only to end up watching a football game and yelling at their kids. Who are the real hobos?
- um i really dont know why they are at bus stops but maybe they think someone can help them. They drink because they are not satisfied with the world and have nothing better to do! When they took the choice to be a hobo they could have been looking for help. Next time you see 1 tell them you will pray for them! See their reaction!!
- Many people gather at bus stops which creates a potential for getting money via begging. He does not board the bus because usually there are bus fees.
- In the winter, the bus stop provides shelter (if it is the covered kind). In the summer, it provides shade. These things are important to people who have no home. Also, it is a good place to panhandle for money. The people who take buses in most parts of the country are not rich and so the police are less likely to interfere. If the hobos tried this in a rich area they would be run off immediately or jailed. Also, it's a good place to gather with their friends too. That's about all the reasons I can think of.
- i think that is so cliche pan handling is the probably the greatest reason. in my experience it is better to donate to missions then to give to drunkards. they will buy alchohol with whatever. They all know where the local mission is. i guarantee it. but most of the homeless are honest i have been there. and if i ever asked for money, i always bought food. remember panhandling can get a homeless person more money in an hour than what they get working. i dont bregrudge the blind man or the disabled who cant work, and most of them are just out of luck and dont have any optimist outlook on any future possiblity of working. some are indeed mentally ill. too. that should be considered aswell. but no one should be homeless in america and no one should have to abuse the system where it is. but men are wicked and usually on those that go to the shelters and missions are honest enough to try.
- Lot's of people with change and an excuse why you're loitering on the corner. "Honest officer, I'm waiting on a bus"
