  1. Use the bathroom at the reststops if you can...sometimes the bathroom on the bus is a little dirty. Also, bring some tissues. They bus usually never has any in the bathroom either. For 3 days...are you bringing your own food? Most buses make stops at restaurants. If you don't bring your own, I'd say maybe $40ish to make it through the 3 days but that depends on how much you eat. I would have a mix of tuns. Def enough so you don't get bored with repeats. Nice, slow tempo music is great when it's night time and the bus is quiet. Bring a pillow and a blanket or a hoodie - sometimes it's a bit chilly. Also, if you have any transfers, make sure you know exactly when and where you change buses. I've seen people get left behind and it sucks. Good luck
  2. The first poster pretty much nailed it. I'd only add books and magazines to that list. Magazines are great to leave on your seat while you go inside restaurants and gas stations, that way no one takes your seat (and if anyone does, you won't miss the magazine). You'll have both seats to yourself during different parts of your trip, but when the bus is full and people are getting on, DO make your second seat available. You might get stuck next some stinky person, but there's nothing worse than getting on full bus and somebody put their duffel bag on their second seat. It's awkward to have to ask, "Can I sit here?" So be courteous of your fellow travelers.
  3. take greyhound is the worst way to go in the world plus i heard a rumor greyhound is contracting out all their runs to other carriers like Carolina Trailways, TMNO Vermont transit Las Crusoe(some Mexican bus out fut) and autobus and they wont take greyhound tickets either you wil have to buy ticket for each bus company separately Guess greyhound is going under why else would they contract out their routes? and its started to happen La Crusue and autoabus do all the Los Angeles to San Diego runs plus I saw a Carolina trailways bus on LA t SF run
