I passed a stopped school bus with stop sign out by mistake. will i get caught?

I didnt see the school bus at all until i was completely passed it. i was under the speed limit. I was about 40 feet in front of the bus when i noticed. Do school bus drivers report this? do they have a camera on the bus to catch this? this occured in nyc.

2. i live in a small town and a car passed my bus like that once, the bus driver did call it in but i don't remember if he had a license plate though. i think they only have a camera in the bus to watch the students
3. Most bus drivers look for the licence plate and report it to the police. Some busses may be equipped with a camera but it is unlikely as to the cost and the need to have it aimed in the right direction.
4. The kids could have gotten your plate. all you can do now is wait and hope. curious just how do you not see a school bus<

7. NYC school buses are not National School Bus Yellow, and no amber or red warning lights? I think not! Hope you get caught-you could have seriously injured or killed a child.
8. I report at least 2 a week. I drive a school bus.
9. i drive school buses so yes bus drivers do report these things. what they will do is when you pass they will look in their mirror and copy down your place tag number. then they turn the plates in and then the police department might send you a ticket in the mail. or the school bus you passed might have had a camera mounted to the outside of the bus and when the stop sign comes out the takes a picture of any cars that pass. for more in formation on that please see the link below. i hope this helped and next time when you see a school bus look for the amber (yellow) lights which will tell you that the bus is about to stop. i hope this helps and good luck.
