Quickest Way to New York from Philly,train or automobile?

I am planning a surprise visit to the New York Auto Show for my girlfriend and I, and was wondering whether or not to use AMTRAK or just drive. My problems with driving is of course driving on I-95 and then finding my way through the city, not to mention parking. It is located Between 34th - 39th Street and 11th Avenue, in New York City. the other question is are any of these dropoffs accesible by walking to the auto show? 1. The only one that is actually in New York City is New York Penn Station. It's about a 10-15 mile walk from the Javitz Center. From Philly, train would be best if you're close to an Amtrak station. The only problem with driving is that you never know what kind of backup you'll have at the Lincoln Tunnel (which lets out in New York right next to where you're going).
