Why motorists are impatient of public and school bus?

In New York area, motorists are always risking bus. Car popping out in front of motion city bus from gas station while was about to move. Even the trailer truck coming out off driveway cut off the bus. Recent incident, when bus was pulling into bus stop, car on right cut off, causing passenger accident or going opposite lane to pass the bus and went on red light. And at Metropolitan Museum of Art, I saw school bus flashing STOP SIGN or RED Flashing Signal, but car drivers just keep going even thought sign says, IT'S FEDERAL LAW.

1. Many people all over just don't care and are in too much of a hurry plus they don't understand what their actions will cause......
2. I don't want to ride behind a bus, and will pass them as soon as I can. The thing is I do it LEGALLY. If you want to ride behind a bus, which you can't see around or above in my car, that is your choice. A school bus is the worse because around here they tend to stop at each house. What happened to the days when I was a kid where kids had a BUS STOP and all teh kids on a block were picked up together? As to a semi they have a schedule, they have a hard time passing vehicles and to expect them to stop at each corner or something is expecting too much of them. I can't blame a semi for wanting around a bus if they can get around it.
3. Many motorists that behave like you were referring to act this way out of impatience. You are right. It is law that you must stop when a school bus has its flashers on and the stop sign is out. The purpose of that stop sign and the flashing lights is to let all on coming and following traffic know that children are either being picked up or dropped off. Drivers like this just don't care about the law. They only care about where they are going which is usually no where in a hurry. The issue here is that their impatience could cost a child's life. It could also create an accident with the bus or another innocent driver. The good news is, if cops are in the area and they see this, they will be ticketed for it. Overall its a lack of patience on the driver's part. They just don't care about the well being of the children on the bus nor themselves.
