How long can I crate my Italian greyhound?

I have an italian greyhound, and I hurd that it is best to crete the dog in order to train it. Usually I am gone for about 5 hours daily, do you think it is ok to crate her for that long?

1. it will be perfectly fine. my dog has a "hamster cage bottle" and she gets a treat when we leave and get back home. it actually made her much more well behaved since we started crating her. 5 hours is not at all too long.

4. I think 5 hours should be fine. Make sure to leave blankets, toys, food, and water for it! :)
5. we have an iggy and five hours is fine. people have a variety of opinions on how long is too long. they like to be in a "den" we don't put toys in the crate because i don't feel like that is safe also remember no collar on in the crate.
