School bus stop outside house, kids are destroying fence and teasing dogs.?

I have an elementary school bus stop on the side of my house. My husband and I paid $4000 to have a chain link fence installed around perimeter of property. The kids at the bus stop are kicking my fence, bouncing off of it, and teasing my dogs. I have went out there numerous times, called the school district, and am at the point of filing a police report for destruction of property as the kids are ruining my fence. I am so frustrated and the school district said oh well. What should I do?

5. oh my gosh, i'm in the EXACT same situation!!!!!!!! i solved it, though. so friggin happy.
6. Yes, the school won't do anything. I'd follow the kids home from school one day and let their parents know you are going to sue them for the damage if nothing is done immediately. Put it in writing and keep records.

8. I guess you should call the police when there attacking your property and teasing your dogs. Unless you get the law evolved they wont realise their consequences.
9. call the cops have them kids and their parents pay for the damage done to your fence and then call the school and threaten to sue them or something for not facing the problem.

11. Call the police. THey will probably send a car to sit by your house when the kids get off the bus. THey are ususally out and about patrolling anyway when school gets out.
12. Tell them how much trouble they could get in if they commit Vandalism to another person's property. Also start sitting out there until they learn to stop. If it gets very bad file the report. You cold also start putting up a camera to see what they are doing, if that isn't against the law.

Get the hose out and water the fence line while they are doing these things OR Put up a camera (install signs stating you are filming since they are minors unsure of laws there) Get it on film than take to Board Of Education in your Town as Well as police Let the police find out who the little brats are and have their Non Parenting adults who created them pay you damages in court. Frankly i like the electric fence idea a lot I am so FED up with kids who have been raised to think they do not have to respect anyone and who think they are entitled to everything it is sickening! My kids never acted like this My grand kids do not either i do not understand what in heck some of these so called "parents" are doing. They obviously are not parenting Get the police on top of it If you get it on camera and keep pressing You can win!!!! If the Board of Ed will not help go to your county commissioners

Don't let them see that you are truly mad over the issue in the way they would think. go out there with a smile on your face and kindly say to the adult kids, please don't lean into this fence, it cost way to much to place up here. would you like me to show you which wall you can lean on. or bring out a chair for you. maybe we can call the bus/school district about a bench being placed here. Just work them. don't let them work you. and maybe you can chain your dogs to the side of the house so they don't make the kids toss rocks at them. that way the cops cant say your at fault for buggin the kids.
15. so a bunch of ELEMENTARY SCHOOL kids are destroying your fence you say eh? those little size 4s are ruining that fence are they? those 50lb bodies are bouncing offn it and bendin the hell out of it eh? sounds like you got you a genuine problem lady i tell you what. you look out your damn window too much! school bus leaves at what 0700? put on some damn ear plugs, hang up your damn phone, and get you a damn hobby besides harassing little kindygartners, school districts, and police departments with some bullshit complaints. have a nice day.

The Electric fence sounds good to me but you know you cant do that so take pictures and call the police then I would find out where these little brats live and talk with their parents(if there are any)and then I would fill destruction of property on them and then call the school one more time and tell them if it continues you will file charges on the school.Get a lawyer ASAP...
17. its good it will make your dogs mean that's what happened to my dog now i can sick himon someone destroying my fence.
18. if you can,take video of it as many times as you can before you go to the police.the police are just going to tell them to stop it and then leave them alone most likely.it is your responsibility document all of those punk kid's activities.you can and should sue the parent's of all of the punk kid's for destruction of property.don't put a sign on your fence saying that it is an electric fence unless it is, and i agree that you should electrify it with as much power as you possibly can.i know that this sound's harsh but ALL PUNK KID'S need to be taught a lesson,as well as thier parent's.
19. Electrifying the fence will put you in a bit of trouble ... I would not suggest it unless you have a lot of time to go to court. File a report of vandalism with the local police and get video of the damage as these kids are doing it for use in court. The parents of these children can be forced to pay for the damage they are causing. I don't blame you for being mad! Who wants to spend $4,000 on something and then watch it get destroyed? The parents should have taught their children respect for the property of others.
20. Your fence should not be getting hurt if the kids want to lean against it and kick it. That's what a fence is for...to lean on and talk to your neighbor. I am sure the kids should back off of it but if it is bending when they lean against it, it is probably to high a gauge chain link and not properly engineered and installed. Tell the builder that it is getting wear that it should not.
21. you should file a police report because if one of the kids get HURT then the parents are going to be mad at you even though it is the kids fault. i do not recommend going up and talking to the bus driver because in most school districts that is not allowed. i also recommend that you get the bus number that normally comes to get the kids and the school system that is on the side of the bus. i wish you the best of luck because i am a bus driver and i know how some kids can behave, good luck.
