Can anyone help me please? Trip to mexico hopefully by bus..?

Ok so far you guys have been extremely helpful and I appreciate it so much. I have basically one last question. For those of you who don't know I am going to villahermosa, mexico from phoenix, arizona in may. I want to use a bus to get there since i think it will be cheaper, but it's so hard trying to find a bus line that goes from phx to villhermosa or even just from phx to mex city (i could switch buses there i guess). I can't find any names or schedules or prices or phone numbers or anything!! Someone, please help me! Oh and the passport thing isn't an issue as i will use my birth certificate and ID....

3. Please - please - please! Take a look at the news. . . stay OUT of Mexico. There is a war going on (drug cartel), and it is not safe AT ALL! They're not (just) killing people - they are beheading them. By the thousands. Choose another destination!
4. Shouldn't you post your answer to the city,that Yahoo Answer has listed. I think it is up there. This posting is about Cancun. So what does your answer have to do with Cancun. You are not going there! As for you other posters! Yes, certain parts of Mexico are not safe. The drug wars are not going on every where in Mexico. If they are, give me Proof.
5. See 1st and 2nd sites below for bus lines that can take you from Phoenix to Nogales. I know there are buses from Nogales to Guadalajara, then on to Mexico City, but cannot find one right now. You could ask the bus companies for help. Or take a Greyhound to El Paso and go from there. Once you get to Mexico City, take an ADO bus to Villahermosa...there are many each day. You will arrive at the Norte bus station in Mexico City, so you need a bus leaving from that station to Villahermosa. I gotta run, but iI can find more info on Nogales to Mexico City later, I will add it. You can also do some searching on Larpman's site yourself.
6. look for a mexican bus line in Phoenix, like Americanos or Turimex, they should offer service to villahermosa, if not, they should offer service to the major nearby bus hubs, like Mexico City or Veracruz, from either of those, you can catch a regional bus to villahermoza. Its a long trip by bus, if you want to save money, take a plane to Mexico City, and then take the bus from Mexico city to villahermosa. Don't believe all the panic mongers about the war and kidnappings, Mexico is not Iraq. there has been violence, but its all between the mafia factions and does not involve civilians or tourists. There is plenty of petty crime in mexico, as in any other country, to avoid being a victim, just use some common sense; don't wear jewelry, expensive shoes, or leather jackets, don't flash money. and try to move around with a group if possible.
