USA Bus Lines

Did anyone hear about the gruesome murder that took place on a Greyhound bus in Canada?

I read about it on CBS Mobile this morning. Talk about freaky!!! Made me think twice about wanting to take a bus. I'd rather fork over the high cost of gasoline.

  1. yes. it made me cry when I saw it on the news yesterday, the poor boy. he was named after his father also. Would have been hard for his parents. R.I.P Tim McLean <3
  2. OMG i heard about it yesterday some people are SO F*cked UP! i cant even believe someone would do that.. its scary to think about it, im like AHHH seriously disturbed... yeah.. omg. OKAY...yeah overall.. he should be like...beaten or something..like..he is fcuked.... i feell very bad for the family members of the young man who died.
  3. It's tragic, but it's one case in many many many (and yet many) millions. Freaking out over it is not a good idea. You can ride a bus and be confident that you're going to get to your destination in one piece (literally). Don't start asking for the government for protection because it's going to do its best to take as much money and as much of your freedoms to fail in doing it. You don't want a checkpoint with TSA agents on every bus. I rather take my chances with Jack the ripper.
  4. randoms acts of violence are as unexplainable as random acts of kindness like the person that paid my coffee bill in the drive thru this morning! One thing ... the guy had a hunting knife and not a semi-automatic rifle. There'd be 37 casulaties rather than one.
  5. Convinces me that deep down humans are savages that can speak, do math and wear clothes. Seriously, our world is going down the tubes.
  6. do you mean the one that took place in winnepeng (or somewhere like that) that involved a man chopping another guys head off with a knife? if thats the one you were talking abou then no, I havent heard of it. my brother just told me about it but I haven't actually seen/heard anythin about it. probably because i havent watched the news for the past few days.
  7. Horrific. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
  8. Yes it was a horrific thing, something right out of a horror movie. But I think you have to be realistic, nothing like this has ever happened before and nothing like it will probably happen again so don't get all paranoid. I've used Greyhound more times than I can count and cannot recall there ever being any trouble. This was a random act of violence which at this point is unexplainable. I live in western Canada and would not hesitate for one moment about taking a bus anywhere.
  9. Yes, it's horrific. But I don't think it has anything to do with Greyhound or buses in general. It was a freak thing that could have happened anywhere.
