Traveling on greyhound to Canada, any tips?
I'm a little nervous about it since it will be a 2 day trip, I have a carry on I am taking but I'd like to take something else (it need to be checked though). Is there anyway I can completely make sure any of my checked luggage won't get lost? And what about any crazies I might bump into? How safe are the stops and transfers?

- Memorize and recite the Heart Sutra. That will keep the crazies away.
- it's all good! my cousins are canadian and i've met some of their friends and stuff and they're nice. you may wanna be cautious about that greyhound killer that goes around on canadian buses though (i read about that somewhere in the newspapers)
- Honestly, I live in Canada and that greyhound bus incident last year, while shocking and tragic, was an isolated incident. Canada is MUCH safer than the USA. Like a ton safer. But be careful anywhere you travel, of course. It would depend on where you're going in Canada as well. It's a bigger country than the USA and places in Canada are as different as NYC is different from Los Angeles, you know? Maybe be more specific. To the uninformed girl above me too: the guy, the infamous greyhound bus killer, is behind bars. He is not stalking people who take busses. Jeez, read a newspaper will ya? That was months ago...
- Hon..the only crazies you may run into on a bus trip to canada alone, is YOU!!!!!! How old are you? Hey, if you are in the real world..yeah..there wil ber crazies...and there will be guys who ....annoy...subtley harrass you.....and want to jump your..well...I-POD........why are you traveling alone? YOu think because you're on a gray/grey hound....bus...that is insurance? oh wow..........hope I don't read about you in teh obits.... maybe postpone the trip....go with someone...a trusted friend...... enjoy CANADA with memories........with someone or a group.. unless you are meeting others incanada.....but..anyway..... WOW I feel better...I haven't given out any cheap advice since January 2009
- Your checked luggage will be placed under the bus. There is no need to worry about it getting lost, you see it go on, and you see it get taken off. As for crazies...well it's always a possibility however you travel. Just be cautious and use common sense, you will be just fine.
