USA Bus Lines

Is there a bus or shuttle from Laguardia or JFK airport to washington, DC?

I live in Monterrey, Mexico and would like to travel this summer to New York, Washington and Boston but I would like to take a bus in the airport just when I arrive. Please tell me if someone know a tour or bus line that I could take from Laguardia or JFK. Thanks!

  1. I did a quick search on Yahoo! and didn't find anything. I'm not really surprised, though. From the airport, it wouldn't make sense to travel from there to DC. It's simpler to fly from Point A to Point B; 'B' being Washington, DC. From Midtown Manhattan to Washington, DC, sure. Visit Greyhound or PeterPan Bus lines web sites for info. You can also travel on Amtrak from Penn Station to Union Station in Washington. Lastly, consider flying into Washington and then traveling up on Amtrak to New York and then on to Boston and then commuting home from Boston back to Mexico, perhaps through a major Mexican or southern California city and then to Monterrey. Good luck!
  2. If you're willing to take the subway to Chinatown Fung Wah and other Chinatown buses offer BOS-NYC and NYC-DCA services. However they also have a poor reputation safety wise. You can also take Amtrak. Again you have to ride the subway to grand Central or Penn station(I forgot which, my bad). They offers high-speed Acela service between Boston and Washington DC that goes through every maor city in between. Another option is to fly. Delta airlines offers the Delta Shuttle between BOS-LGA and LGA-DCA. American Eagle and US Airways also fly the route.
  3. Nope, there is no bus for you, but there are trains you could take from elsewhere in NY to DC. The next best option, find out where the Chinatown bus leaves NYC - it goes to Baltimore, from there you can either take another bus/light rail/MARC train to DC, or just walk around with your shirt open and someone will pick you up.
