how to read the toronto transit commission site?

My friend's planning a trip and she doesn't know how to read the schedule for the subway (She's new to the city). She wants to know the route and time for eiher a bus or subway that goes from finch subway to either union station or king subway around 8 am on saturdays

1. There is a subway that goes to Union station from Finch station
2. trains run from 5am to 2am monday to saturday and 9am to 2am on sundays. there's a train leaving each station every 5 minutes throughout the 21 hours. she can catch one at finch to king or union anytime.
