If the charter bus in Texas was carrying passengers to worship God, why would God let them be killed?
SHERMAN, Texas - A charter bus carrying Vietnamese worshippers on a pilgrimage slammed onto its side and off a highway north of Dallas early Friday, killing at least 14 people and injuring more than 40, authorities said. Many of those on the bus were from the Vietnamese Martyrs Church of Houston and were on their way to a religious festival in Carthage, Mo.

- No one said God was a nice God
- For the same reason that "GOD" lets churches burn down or get flooded or hit by tornado's... GOD doesn't exist.
- Sometimes a belief system can only rely on faith...
- God needed half a busload of Vietnamese people in heaven. Probably needs them to plant some rice or something.
- A man's fate is a man's fate. Life is but an illusion.
- To us it seems horrible, and their loved ones who are left behind are suffering terribly, but really, we don't understand everything and for those on that bus who were Christians, we can grieve with hope. We grieve for the loss of someone we love but in a way almost envy that they are no longer here to have to suffer, get illnesses, and now they have perfect eternal bodies that can never wear out and they are in paradise... it's hard, but again, it's not hopelessness that we feel when we lose someone. God is good even in suffering.
- Even if a God or Gods exist, she is too busy to control traffic accidents.
- Perhaps is was to spare them from the rather unpleasant things that are coming within the next few months. A quick death with those you care about is far preferable to some of the things I fear are coming. Maybe not the answer you were expecting but it's what you get.
- Ah, the standard 'Why Did God' question. First if you will read scripture you will find that man is an independent being and therefore is not tethered by a string to God' fingers. (Adam and Eve tossed out of the garden for a bad choice) Being Independent men make mistakes and make poor judgments. Too many people think that God 'carries us' from situation to situation. Can't happen if we are independent, we make our own choices. The theology is way too complex to describe here, but lets just say, the rain falls on the just and the unjust alike.
- Ever hear of free will? Maybe God shed a tear too.
- god wanted those people home in his house.
