Needing to find bus lines that travel from Mexico into the US.?
I can't seem to find any online, and was needing to get the cost to go from Mexico to Atlanta, GA. I tried Greyhounds site but they did not have any information on my departing city to my arriving city. El Expreso doesn't offer that service on their site to inquire about prices. Are there any other bus lines that run into the US from Mexico.. I'll be leaving from Reynosa or Matamoros. I used El Expreso to come down here, but had a really bad experience with them so I was looking into other options before I had to use them again.

- There are some lines that sell tickets to American cities...and have bus lines they coordinate with, but those lines are actually operated by Greyhound. The bus you get on in Mexico goes no further than a border town, then you must change buses. Too bad, because the Mexican buses are far better. When you reach the border you change buses to a crappy Greyhound or one of the lines Greyhound operates. This I know from Experience. Sooo...you will take a Mexican bus to a Mexicn border town, then a little local bus across the border, then an American (Greyhound) bus. Or , you can take a Mexican bus that comes across the border to an American border town , then change buses. Best place to cross is McAllan , TX....has the best bus station, and many bus lines go there. There are many buses leaving from there to all over the U.S. every day. One of the best lines from Mexico into McAllan is Grupo Senda, but there are others. Where in Mexico are you coming from?
- el expresso ,solo ese y yo tambiem vivo en georgia.
- I am pretty sure that Greyhound runs a shuttle between McAllen and Reynosa that would take you through customs. Then from McAllen you could catch a bus to Atlanta, no? Call them and ask them. It is much easier than trying to navigate the ridiculous national Greyhound website. Address MCALLEN GREYHOUND STATION 1501 W BUSINESS 83 McAllen, TX 78501 Telephone Numbers Main: 956-686-5479 Baggage: 956-686-5470 Greyhound Package Express: 956-686-8622 Customer Service: 956-686-5479 Greyhound Charter: 800-454-2487
- check www.Amtrack.com to see if they have bus information.
- You can take Grupo Senda as recommended by Charlie. The do have buses that cross the border to from Reynosa to McAllen. Other possibilities: 1 - Valley Transportation Company has bus service between McAllen and the bus station in Reynosa. Buses every 30 minutes from 6 am - 10 pm. (956) 686-5479 2 - Check out Viva Aerobus for low cost flights from locations in Mexico to Monterrey and from Monterrey to Austin, Texas. $299 starting price is in pesos. http://www.vivaaerobus.com/ 3 - Autobuses Americanos to other locations in the US, including larger town in Texas as San Antonio, Dallas and Houston where connections may be better for you than McAllen. Americanos goes to other locations in the US. Go to the link that follows and click on the Buscar Oficinas (it will say "nada") for a list of the main locations. Perhaps they can get you closer to where you are headed. Click on the name of a city to get the phone number of the office in that city. http://www.autobusesamericanos.com.mx/americanos/index.php
- If you will be leaving from Reynosa, take any bus that gets you through the border to the McAllen terminal. But, why in God's name would you want to travel by bus half way across the country? You can fly from Harlingen, Tx for less than $300. If you must travel by bus, at least give yourself a day at Bay St. Louis for some casino fun. Have a safe trip.
