How can I get from the Detroit greyhound station to the Detroit airport?
Hi, so I'm going to Cancun in February and it's much cheaper if I fly out from Detroit instead of Toronto. I was wondering how long it would take and how much I would have to pay to get from the greyhound station to the airport. Thanks in advance =)

- Only one way from the greyhound is a cab. They are lined up outside the terminal. I would guesstimate that it would be arond $40 to get to the airport.
- Hi. You don't say where you're setting out from (not sure if you're in TO), but another option for you rather than finding your way from wherever you live to Detroit and then out to the airport would be to look into Robert Q Travel Airbuses. If you are departing from cities such as Toronto, London, Chatham, Sarnia, Windsor, etc., they run a direct service from any of these cities right to Detroit Metro. If you check out their site: www.robertq.com and go to "Airbus" and then "Schedules and Fares", it sets out all the cities in Ontario they service and the corresponding fares. It might actually be cheaper than getting yourself to Detroit, and then to the airport, and it is certainly more convenient and safer. Good luck with your travels!
- There is a SMART BUS system. Look up the routs on the internet first before going becaus you don't want to walk around in Dangerous Detroit looking for a bus stop. I've done it....not very wise.
- You can get from the Detroit Greyhound station to DTW Detroit Metro Airport easily by taking the SMART suburban bus system. The #125 Fort Street provides daily service between downtown and the airport for only $1.50 one way. The bus stop is only 3 blocks from the Greyhound station. Good Luck!
- I live right near the greyhound station in downtown detroit. There's really no great way to get from there to the Airport. A cab ride is your best option but will run you about 45 bucks each way. There is a SMART bus which you can take but it takes a long time and I would not recommend it. The cab ride takes about 25 minutes.
