What's it like taking a greyhound bus cross country?
I am going to take a greyhound bus cross country from ohio to california in july to see my girlfriend. What's it like traveling cross country in one of those?

- Probably takes forever and i would think somewhat brutal Why not fly or take a train!
- You'll be fine. It's a real slice of life. Some of the characters and stops are a little shady, but take a good book and some music, some snacks and a neck pillow. You are going to have some great stories to tell!
- Don't do if you don't have to. Hours and Hours of sitting on a bus stopping every 50 miles or so to pick people up. Sitting next to strangers who invade your space. Why not just fly. It doesn't cost that much more. And you'll save yourself days of travel time.
- It sucks. You legs and back hurt from sitting so long. You have to stop WAY to much and sit and wait forever. I didn't enjoy it AT ALL.
- I have taken 2 overnight bus trips, both sucked. However, if you have time to spend a night in a town and do some sightseeing, then get another bus and so on, it might be fun.
- It's long - you'll see and meet a lot of 'interesting people' You might want to look into the train it might cost less than you think.
