Passed a stopped school bus in NJ?

I was stopped behind a school bus in NJ, he was stopped for about three minutes, i had no intention of going around the bus once so ever, since i know the tickets for these are heavy, and there is no reason to endanger the kids. One of the kids that got off the bus kept looking at the bus driver and looking at me, and kept telling me to go around, and also made the hand motion to do so, i didn't move but she kept doing it, so i proceeded slowly around passed the bus, i assumed the bus driver wanted me to pass until the driver pulls up in front of my girlfriends house that i parked in and started to take down my license plate, i got out and tried to talk to him but he wouldn't open his window, i then blocked my license plate but am pretty sure he got a good read on it. Am i going to get a ticket in the mail? and this car also is not registered under my name.

1. Probably. If he took the time to follow you and get your license number,I would imagine he is going to turn it in.
2. It sounds like a real possibility. If a ticket is issued it will be sent to the registered owner of the vehicle.
