Traffic rules. When a school bus stops on one side of a divided hwy (7' of grassy area inbetween) do you stop

I have never encountered this situation until recently when we moved to a larger city. I've never had a traffic violation and don't plan to, so hopefully you can help! Everyone else just zips on by, but I would like to know if there's a cop behind me...am I technically suppose to stop? If the school bus is stopped on the northbound side and we're traveling on the southbound side. Hope that helps! I'm in FL and I noticed today that it's more like a 10'-12' grassy division w/ some trees here and there. Two lanes going each direction. Tried to look at the website, but since they don't have a search feature, I'd have to read the entire handbook in .pdf to find out.
