Can a child have 2 different school bus stops for pick up only as long as it's on set schedule?
my children attend school in ohio and my husband and i both work full-time. I need my children to be picked up from a babysitter's house a couple days a week on a set schedule, however, their drop off location is always home. The school is trying to tell me they've changed the rules and students can only have 1 pick up and drop off location. Can they do that?

- yes they can.
- sadly yes unless you pay for a private bus service
- a person on my bus is da same exact way. they say its okay. but i think the parents need 2 write a note 2 da skool
- Yes they can...the way the world is today, a Driver needs to know where a child is supposed to be picked up and where they are dropped off as they are responsible for them...the Bus Driver cannot be expected to keep track of two different stops for your child, especially when the scedule changes from day to day...so you will need to have someone there to pick them up from their regular stop on the days you can't be there.~~Aloha and Good Luck~~
- Well if the school is telling you that you can't. Then obviously, you can't.
- In my school, if you write a note, they will do it The truth is, going to school, if a child at a bus stop, bus drivers will just take them, they noted is needed to go home I would call your Principal I know at my bus stop last year, there was a boy for three weeks, he was staying out one of the house, his mom was sick To get back to my street, he needed a note, going to school, they just picked him up
- I know in the morning before school they will pick up anyone at a bus stop that is already scheduled to have kids picked up there. In the afternoon they would only drop off where they are suppose to. I also live in Ohio but every school district is different. It might be hard for them to keep track of but if you write a note explaining the situation they should do it for you
- Yes..they can. It's gets too complicated and risky the other way and I think it's a good idea.
- Yes they can. Thats the works in our school district. The drop off and pick up locations can be different from each other, but the child must be dropped off in the same location every day of the week. Same with the pickups.
- If the school is telling you that's what their particular rules are, then you should believe them. I can't imagine having the kids picked up at one location and dropped off at another! Sooner or later there's going to be a mistake made and then I'll just guess that you'd blame the school for that too.
