Scooter vs. Dirt bike? ?

Does a dirt bike run more gas than a scooter? I'm trying to ride a mini motorcycle to save money on gas and insurance. So I read if it's a smaller CC(engine), if it's an olser bike, a Japanese or Other Manufacturer or a dirt bike with little horse power plus no tubor charge it's good for insurance but I have no idea about the gas...Help! lol Also, I'm just researching if it's benefical before I decide to take motorcycle classes and really be comitted to the idea since I live in Toronto and metro passes has increased to $110 per month, plus it would be nice to not wait on the bus schedule....Please be nice,. just looking for an expert opinion.Thnxs :D

  1. If your not traveling massive distances, consider an electric scooter, even cheaper and NO GAS
  2. I bought a 150 cc scooter for around town and back and forth to work, it gets 75 mpg and is big enough to get on the highway for very short runs, but is real good around town where the fastest speed limit is 45 mph.
  3. Shoot for a scooter for now...I*D*K if Dirt bikes are legal in ur state but U dont wanna get pulled ova everytime ur going 2 work or just going ova a friends house 2 hang out... With da gas price going up, its still going 2 be cheap on ur end considering dat da gas tank is pretty much smaller...If u get a electric dats good in a way but think about da electric bill U are goping 2 recieve when u are charging your battery up. And how about if your riding & all of a sudden your electrical wirings or your rechargable battery fails on U.... Dont worry your not da only one wiff da Metro Passes going up...Ours go up like every year & its rediculous... Ours is Probably at $90 something right now. Mii thing stick 2 a scooter for now....
