are there bus routes or trains that run daily round trips from Las Vegas to Los Angeles?

Are there any bus or train services that offer daily round trips from Las Vegas to Los Angeles other than greyhound? if so, what are some options?

  1. Hop a Union Pacific freight. Otherwise, you're better off taking Southwest for a low fare.
  2. Greyhound or plane is the only way unless you drive.
  3. greyhound or the plane. there was servic called megabus but they failed and stopped service in 2008
  4. You can take the Los Angeles Metrolink from LA Union Station as far as San Bernardino. I did that once, but had a friend who was staying in Lake Arrowhead that weekend and who then swung by the San Bernardino station to pick me up by car and we then continued on to Vegas. So, if you're lucky to have a friend or acquaintance in that area, maybe you could make it a shared ride to Vegas.
  5. Bus yes, train no. Amtrak quit service from LA to Vegas over 10 years ago. Best bet? Greyhound.
