How do I figure out bus routes?

I live in Connecticut and I am trying to find a way to get from Seymour to New Haven so I can attend a class at Yale. I can't seem to figure out any of the bus routes though. I have tried looking at www.cttransit.com but it is all just a bunch of nonsense to me.

1. The F line and the B line both service Seymour with a stop at Spruce St. and New Haven Rd. in Seymour. The ride to New Haven uses the F route only and stops downtown on Chapel St. east of Church. The ride back uses the F route and the the B3 route. It begins up at the corner of Chapel and Temple with a stop in Seymour at Spruce St. and New Haven Rd.
