Do Tesco pay money to bus companies to be placed on their routes?

To ellaborate - when bus routes are formed do Tesco have any formal relationships with the bus firms to ensure their stores are on the routes? Or, do the bus companies ensure tesco are on their route, due to the sheer traffic going in and out of tesco and it simply makes sense to have them on route?
