bus lines from Bangkok to Chiang Mai?

I am looking to travel by bus to Chiang Mai from Bangkok. What is the name of a large bus line or bus lines around bangkok?

1. You want to go to the Northern Bus Terminal at Mochit. You can take the sky train t the Mochit station (last stop) and then a short ride by tuk tuk or taxi.
2. You can get a VIP bus for Bt400 from justdiveit.com on Khao San road. Cheap, comfortable and good service. Email David Tayler at info@justdiveit.com
3. Having seen the way those nutters throw the buses around, I wouldn't put my life in their hands. I'd rather pay the extra and take the 45 minute flight with One-To-go or similar airline. Thai Airways also do the trip, but are very expensive. If you've time to burn, the train is a novel experience -- it's got to be the slowest form of transport in Thailand second only to a water buffalo and cart.
