  1. I tried to find a bus from Singapore to Bangkok on Google but all I could find was a train service that is supposed to be very good.
  2. Plane fare is supposed to be low from Bangkok to Singapore. Singapore is an island in the middle of Malaysia. Bangkok is perhaps 1000 miles/ 1600 Km to the north and west. The trains could take a week if it they get you there at all. Malaysia is a collection of islands, ferry service from island to island sounds; like an episode of "Globe Trekker."
  3. there r....... well u gotto go to suratthani first n then the buses to kl leaves from there n u can get another bus from kl to singapore...........or u can get a direct bus too........but i m damm sure there r.......
  4. The bus companies at Golden Mile shopping centre can book you on buses all the way to Bangkok if you fancy traveling that way.
  5. Its going to be a long trip by road http://www.adventurecenter.com/Geckos/trip/gtbs&var=2699
  6. Singapore is an Island on the south end of the Malay Peninsula. It is connected to the peninsula by a bridge. You can take the Aeroline coach to KL 90RM (luxury about $24US 5 hours to KL) https://www.aeroline.com.sg/index.html There are frequent shuttle services which depart every hour from Changi Airport Terminal 2, to Kuala Lumpur, but the buses are not as nice as the Aeroline. You can take the Aeroline to Penang from KL for about 55RM ($15US 5 hours) and then get a bus at Penang to Hat Yai $5 and about 2 hours or From Kuala Lumpur or Singapore: Konsortium Bas Ekspress http://www.kbes.com.my/contactus.asp Semenanjung, 32, Prachathipat Road, Hat Yai Tel : +66 074 351280 and +66 074 351281 have 5 bus every day which leave Kuala Lumpur, to Hat Yai departure at 9:00 am, 9:30 am, 10:00am, noon and 7:00pm, ticket cost around 400 baht ($11US and it's a 7 hours journey). I don't know the price from Singapore. Once your in Hat Yai you cross the Street to the BCS (bus station and take whatever bus from the Transportation Company of Thailand. From Hat Yai to Bangkok about 19 hours and about 1000 baht ($30 on VIP 24 seat luxury bus) You can get cheaper tickets but some buses don't have toilets or air conditioning. The usually stop along the way at a bus station where you can shop and go to the toilet. (even the luxury buses stop). The luxury coaches give you snacks and bottled water. Total price about $70 or less.
  7. Yeah, get a train. The first class one you can sleep all the way.
  8. are you serious? try fly to Penang, take a train from Butterworth to Bangkok, train leave daily at 2.20 pm the journey will be 22 hours train is bigger and you can walk around and sleep straight, if you can endure this one then only think about taking a bus next time
  9. If you are trying to get from Singapore to Bangkok, I would also suggest flying into Chiang Mai, its a fairly big airport in the north and I believe a couple airlines do flights from Singapore, you can then take a bus down to Bangkok. Its also not likely to get shut down anytime soon, home of the current PM and the police already repelled one attempt by the PAD to take over.
  10. My flight from BKK was cancelled Thursday. I used trains to get to Hatyai from Bangkok and from there went to Malaysia and got a train out of Butterworth to KL, from KL to Singapore by train. Will work in the other direction. Had to fill some gaps by taxi cabs from Hatyai to Malaysia border. Also from Malaysia border to Butterworth. Cheap Hotel Butterworth is "PP Hotel" not far from train station. Transportation was tight because of the influx of stranded "refugees" from the closed airports. Lots of trains were fully booked, especially sleepers. (In Japan, Narita Airport, waiting to continue to US. Flight leaves in 1 hour.) Later: Made it to the US late Sunday night, wouldn't you know - weather delays added another 2 hours at Detroit for my final destination. Passengers from my original flight still waiting for word in Bangkok.
