USA Bus Lines - Does "return date" for Greyhound Bus refer to the date you depart or the date you arrive back?

Does "return date" for Greyhound Bus refer to the date you depart or the date you arrive back?

I want to get a round-trip from Columbus, Georgia to Longview Texas, but I need to be back in Columbus January 4. However, Greyhound schedules in this case span parts of two days, so I have to depart Longview Texas January 3. Do I select January 3 or 4 as my return date to be back in Columbus January 4?
