USA Bus Lines

Why is it that the road near bus stops is often really bumpy and ruined?

Public Comments

  1. The weight of the bus stopping moves the tarmac.
  2. Because the bus weighs like seven million pounds, and it stops there everyday, making the road crack little by little each time. Also, in the winter when the ice gets inbetween the cracks the cement actually expands, causing more cracks and such in the spring when it melts. :)
  3. Buses are heavy and ruin the roads.
  4. Weight of the buses
  5. a 8 tonne bus stopping every 10 mins,sorry 40mins if your in the midlands,there crap here
  6. I bet that you think asphalt roads are solids. They are not, they are a semi plastic material. As the buss stop the wheels push the asphalt forward. Much like water being pushed with your hand. This creates a wave in the asphalt which weakens it and then it begins to fail. Going from good, to bad, to worse.
