How far did you have to walk to the school bus stop?

i had to walk like a mile down the street but it picked up everyone in the neighborhood. i got stuck behind a bus today and it stopped to pick up 1 kid like every 20 ft. schools are making kids so lazy!!

1. I lived way out in the middle of nowhere so the bus came to my house. We live in the 'burbs now and I have to drive my kid to school because we live 2 miles away and the school district says that's "Within walking distance" for a five year old. *Eye roll*

3. i walk to school =] but my bus stops only less than a minute away! my schools a good half an hours walk away, but i just leave earlier. x

5. When I was in Elementary school my sisters and I got kicked of the bus and we had to walk about 1.5 miles to school and 1.5 miles back. It sucked!!! Now in high school my friend drives me to school!! =D

7. I lived at the end of a dirt road and the bus did not come down, I had to walk uphill to the bus. The sign at the start of the road said, road ends 1400 ft. So, 2800 ft, round trip.
8. When I was a kid, we didn't have buses. Honestly. We walked about two and a half miles to get to school from the time I was in Kindergarten. (Yeah Yeah, uphill both ways in the snow and rain.........) There were adults at every intersection as crossing guards. I haven't seen a crossing guard for a few years now.
9. 20 feet because it stopped right in front of my house. But we were the only kids within 10 miles to go to that school so we had a valid excuse for it stopping there.
10. wtf my school made us work my bus only had like 3 stops i had to walk half a mile to my bus stop
11. 2 miles through the snow --uphill both ways!!!! Yeah, I'm one of those parents!!!!!!
12. i don't know how far,, but i hav to walk about 10 minutes...
