Is it against the law for passengers on a charter bus line to drink alcoholic beverages?

when is it posted that it is prohibited...Or is it for posted for insurance purposes?

1. Depends on the state or country, on the permits the bus line has, and on the physical layout of the bus.
2. probaly depends on the bus line , and as long as you arent being disruptive to other passengers and the driver back in the 70s on a return charted bus trip from Wash DC , an impeach nixon demostration , about half way home when the bus didnt stop at usal place for tour bus breaks we fired up a joint on the back of the bus and as the smoke drifted forward people started to turn around , when the smoke finnaly reached the driver someone came back and asked us to stop , next rest aera the driver pulled in to the back of the lot and half the people on the bus go high before finnishing the trip home
