TRAVELING TIPS .....for the day before thanksgiving???

I am traveling via transit bus from NJ to NYC then to MASS to spend the holiday with my fiance. Any advice on how to travel and not get stressed? Is that the most traveled day of the year? I have to work on that day so I will be rushing to make the scheduled buses. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!

1. Actually, the Sunday after Thanksgiving is the most traveled day of the year, but the day before Thanksgiving is a very close second. My advice would be to take the day off to avoid the stress. Arrive early at the station, relax, read, be first in line for your bus and select your most comfortable seat.
