When your friend is going to Essex for vacation and you tell her, "You really should go for the DX, it has the built in co-processor." When you dream in 256 pallettes of 256 colors. When asked about a bus schedule, you wonder if it is 16 or 32 bits. When you convince yourself that Tetris really does improve eye-hand coordination. When the radio traffic reporter talks about a backup caused by a crash, and you correct her that a backup is good protection in case of a crash. When floppy drive applies more to your love life, and hard drive to your machines. When you call "*.*" star-dot-star. When you can do hexadecimal arithmatic in your head. When your wife goes to the market for some macintosh apples, and you correct her, "No, dear, it's 'Apple Macintosh'." When your wife says "If you don't turn off that stupid machine and come to bed, then I am going to divorce you!", and you chastise her for for omitting the else clause.
Does he like me or is he just creepy? Sorry its long but... Well this guy,... I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him. I met him in sixth grade and now we're only like a week away from the end of seventh grade. He stared at me a lot in sixth... And when I noticed it I started putting a tally on my arm with pen every time I caught him in math class. For an hour of math class ONLY, I got 173 tally marks. Is that creepy? I kind of thought it was cute. Then while we were walking to the bus he walked up to me and my bestfriend Josh. He was like "Hey you guys what classes do you have?" so I gave him my schedule and so did Josh. Mine was Mr. Stallings, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Rabon, Mrs. Pinto, Mrs. Chappell, Ms. Mouton. Then the next day I saw him in the offfice with a ripped piece of pink polka dot paper... The paper I ripped off my binder with my schedule... Then in like the 3rd day of school he came to band class with a big grin on his face, I was like "he isnt in band...." and sure enough he'd signed up for the same instrument as me. Then the rest of the day he had every single class I had. That was kind of wierd. Then I picked fun at him and always called him gay. It was cute to see his reaction. He'd smile and be like "I'm not gay!!.." Then one day he came up to me in the hall and cornered me against a set of lockers and stared into my eyes, it was like fire... I'm insecure and so I don't like eye contact with people that long... He just stared at my eyes for like 5 minutes and I got squeemish and was like "urm, could you back up? I'm clusterphobic." he said "i have a girlfriend." "..and?" "And you should look her up. Her name is Kayla White," I was like "okayyyy, why do I need to know that..?" he said "friend her on facebook please?" So I did and she seems nice, but they keep breaking up and getting back together which kinda pisses me off since I like him, lol. Well anyways I drew a flower on his locker in sharpie to annoy him and he was like "get that flower off my locker or I'll... I'LL HUG YOU!!!!" I was like "WHOAH, CHILL ITS JUST A PRETTY FLOWER." (: During band concerts I always sit beside him. Mrs Williams told me he asked her to arrange it like that and she asked if I had a problem with it I said no. After our last concert he was like "Good job, I got lost and found where we were at by looking off your fingering." -insert creepy smile on his face- WTF. Then during the End Of Grade testing when I was finished I looked around the room, and every day of EOG testing I'd look up to find him staring at me. -shiver- Cute but CREEPY. Everyone says he likes me and everyone knows I like him because I told a friend who can't keep a secret on accident. OH, almost forgot. I just found out that I blush every time he talks to me. Maybe he just thinks its funny when I blush? Or do you think he likes me or is he just a creepy kid..? Help?
Help with plan for losing weight? Basically, I'm going on holiday abroad in three months and I want to look good for it. I'm fifteen now, about 5ft 3 inches and I'm not dramatically overweight, but I'm a lot larger than I'm really happy to be. So this is what I intend to do: Change my routine for starters. I've been really unhealthy up until now, and that's got to change. I've been oversleeping WAY too much recently- anything from twelve to fifteen hours sleep, like every day (yeah, day. I screwed up my sleeping pattern so I've been quite nocturnal :L). And I NEVER exercise. So my new routine would be as follows: -Wake 5:30-ish (I always feel great when I get up early, so...) -Some kind of exercise- probably sit-ups and then once or twice a week (it's £3.50 a time because I can't afford membership otherwise I'd go more often) go to the gym and do about an hour and a half's swimming, until eight (gym opens at 6:30). -Go to school, as normal. I used to go halves on a REALLY big portion of chips with my friend at lunch, but instead maybe walk the extra ten minutes to the supermarket (it wouldn't make me late, I always have tons of time and they don't let you back into school until the end of lunch break, on the dot :/) and get something like an apple and something else (I don't really know, any suggestions on that one?). And then the extra walking would be better for me as well :). -On my way home, I always have another snack, because I don't eat until like, seven or eight at night, so maybe just more fruit? Another alternative suggestion would be much appreciated, but I don't like nuts and most other healthy stuff if I'm honest :/. -I walk about twenty/twenty-five minutes of my journey home, and then I get the bus- if I walked the rest of the way I'd be doing about three-quarters of an hour walking home, and then that would be good exercise too. -Due to home life, my dad, certain circumstances etc, my range of dinner options are limited mostly to McDonalds and pizza, which I mostly decline unless I'm desperate for a hot dinner (I can't stand McDonalds- it makes me feel sick unless I'm REALLY hungry and pizza's alright, but if I eat it one week, I won't want it again for another three or four at least :L). The only working appliance we have in the kitchen is the microwave- nothing else, not even an oven, toaster, freezer or fridge. There is no other option open to me to get anything hot without it being junk food and money's so tight, so we can't do proper supermarket shops. So what on earth should I eat for dinner? Something I can buy from the mini-Tesco would be good :L. -At night, I'll do more sit-ups or similar exercises and then go to bed when I'm tired- eleven at the latest probably. What do you think? I know I missed off breakfast from there. I honestly cannot eat it. If I eat anything before about eleven, it just makes me feel nauseous for ages. I don't know why :/. I'm thinking to solve that, I'd just take a banana to school and eat it at morning break (about half eleven). And I know there isn't a whole lot of eating on that schedule, and that's simply because I don't eat that much. I don't know why, I guess I just have a small appetite. And I can go hours and hours without eating and I feel just fine. Also, I'd just keep healthy snacks in the cupboard in case I got peckish anyways (bound to happen at some point :L). So can people please suggest how I can improve this plan? And how effective do you think it will be? And another thing- I really want to be skinny. Not like, really badly skinny, but think... I dunno, just thin. But not chubby-thin if you get me? I want to get rid of my flab and be kind of flat-stomached, or at the very least, not jiggly. Ah, I know what I mean, I hope you do too! Anyways, my point is, I've always been naturally chubby- will that go away with this? I mean, I would really like not to have flabby arms and legs and stomach area. So what can I do to get rid of the flab? Can I get rid of it? And this isn't just so I can look good on my holiday- it's because I want to look and feel really good all the time :). And if I start doing this, will I feel amazing, like people say they do? Because I'm always really poor-tempered and I want that to stop, but I can't help it :S. Okay, thank you for your time :):).
