Public transportation in Colorado Springs? I'm going to Colorado Springs next week (Wed through Sunday) and am wondering if there is any good public transportation or is rental car necessary? When I looked up the metro bus schedule, it said Mon-Fri ending at 7:30pm. Are there any other options or should I stick with a rental car? PS: I'm from a hot weather state and I'm worried about driving on icy roads, how's the weather? The exact specifics of what we'll do haven't all been planned. I know we're going to Pike's Peak and the Gorge. Maybe to a casino. Thanks for your help!

What public transportation is available from Washington D.C. metro area to Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets? I saw this answer asked many times here on elsewhere on the net, but with no definite answers. However I just figured out how to do it today and wanted to share the info for all. - First, go to West Falls Church metro station (by bus or train - this is easy), and take the stairs to go down to Bus Bay A. There are signs, but if in doubt ask the metro manager on duty. - Take the Loudoun County Commuter Bus - not the regular one; you need to take the Reverse Schedule one instead - this costs about $1.75 each way: http://www.loudoun.gov/controls/speerio/resources/RenderContent.aspx?data=ae0faafddd714a989bb7579cb236bfff&tabid=333 - Get off at the Loudoun Country Government building stop (the second to last stop) - Take the free Leesburg Trolley that stop every 30 minutes or so right in front of the main Government Building. - Arrive at Leesburg Outlet and shop till you drop. Voila! Do keep in mind that this will require you to spend most of your day there because of the limited availability of the buses, but it's so worth it. Some sources and useful links for you guys: http://www.loudoun.gov/Default.aspx?tabid=969 http://www.vatransit.org/map.cfm?map=2008LeesburgTrolley.gif http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/directions.asp?id=14 I hope this will be helpful for some of you! I love this site and always get a lot of useful info, so it's time to give back :)
Vacation: Besides flight, where is it cheaper, safer & easier Vietnam Thailand Indonesia Philappines or India? I will be booking a trip in the future. Can someone can point out to me by giving me ample examples of where it would be cheaper, easy and safer for me to vacation. By cheaper: food, hotel, bus, metro, taxi, car rental (if desired), train fees & airplane cost from one city to another. In terms of hotel, I wouldn't need the most luxurious, but I need something with hot water, bathroom, clean bed and NO BUGS, ie no open roofs, huts. Something like a Marriott is good but expensive and I am thing more along the lines of something smaller but like I said, clean and hot water and all services. By easy I mean availability of transportatioto get around and good schedules. Not buses that lead to nowhere. I heard this about Cambodia. Is it safe to take public transport in big and small cities as well as countryside? Train, bus, etc Can anyone give examples to compare the above countries, like, In India a hotel would cost you.. as compared to Vietnam... same for food and transport. Thx! And Malaysia (sorry I forgot about that one!) :)
Trying to plan a trip on the bus... help please? I know there's a bus (or three total, actually) that can get me from where I am to where I want to go. However, I have no clue what the schedules or the names of the bus lines are or anything. And for various reasons, I can't take the train. Now, I'm in California, so I tried the metro trip planner but the problem is I'm going through three counties to get there so it can't process the request. I'm not sure if there's a site that can help me here... Does anyone know of anything? Also, fyi, trying to get from Mojave CA to Los Angeles CA if anyone had direct insight. Seriously, I'm a stupid kid, I need some help. >>
New to understanding how to travel around Los Angeles( getting familiar with streets, Metro, etc...)? How do I get really familiar with the streets and area of Los Angeles really, really well? I need to get from St Louis MO to Keokuk IA by bus. Greyhound doesn't have a direct link. How do I do this? When I search for a bus from St Louis to Keokuk (or Mt Pleasant or any area in that part of Iowa) I get this message... "The schedule you requested is not available online. This situation may be due to a route not served by Greyhound Lines, or a restriction in place that does not allow Greyhound to offer another carrier's schedule information online." Does anyone know what bus company DOES serve the St Louis to Iowa routes? I'm from New York and am flying into St Louis on the 30th and have to be in Iowa on the morning of the 31st. I've tried googling bus systems and transit in St Louis but am only getting info for their regional Metro Link transit and no bus companies that have routes into Iowa. Thanks so much!
San Francisco MUNI TRANSPORT ( online schedules)? I am having problems interpreting the schedule itineraries. I WILL GIVE 5 STARS...
Beeline bus fr: Fordham rd bronx- Alder Manor or Greystone Yonkers ? I've searched the beeline schedule but it's confusing. I have a gig tomorrow at Alder Manor 1097 N. Bdwy. Yonkers. I'm in The Bronx near Fordham & 3rd ave. I was told to get-off at the Greystone Station using the Metro N. but much rather ride the beeline bus if there's one going up there or near the place. I don't mind walking to & from the bus-stops.
How can I get from Tweed New Haven Airport into West Haven, CT late at night or early in the morning? I'm flying into Tweed New Haven Airport and will be arriving around 11:30 pm on a Friday and will be trying to get to West Haven. I'm no good at reading bus schedules but from what I can tell, the city bus doesn't run that late? I will also need to get to the airport by 5 am on Monday. So my question is: Is anyone here familiar with the area and the bus routes? If so, can you tell me if what I've figured out is correct, that I can't get a bus that early or late? The airport website lists Metro Taxi & Heritage Taxi. Are they good choices and how much should it cost to get from the airport to West Haven (the very edge of West Haven, on Kimberly right across the river)? Are there any other options? Renting a car is not an option for me and I will call the bus company in the morning, but I'm looking for advice from someone who knows the area and the transportation system. Thanks!!

Gardena Bus Route Information? I want to get a detailed route of Gardena Bus Route # 2. I looked up the website at http://www.ci.gardena.ca.us/government/Transportation/Maps.asp but the map only gives timings one way. For example to get from Western/Carson to Imperial/Vermont, how would I know the timings. The map lists timings only for the bus going South on Western ave. What about the one going North on Western ave? Metro transit planner is better as it knows the bus timings for this. However I would like to have a schedule in my hands. Am I missing something? If someone has a schedule for Route # 2 can you please upload it somewhere? Thanks! The bus goes both directions. I have confirmed that. I haven't spoken to the customer service number yet. Its sad they don't have a map online.
Stopping with the cord on the NYC bus systems? This is probably the most stupid question ever, but i am far more familiar with the subways than the buses. I need to take a crosstown bus when I go to school this semester (I need to get from the metro north at 125 harlem to city college at 138th ish and amsterdam ave) but according to the schedule, there are no stops for a long while between the east and west side. The question is, are the NYC buses like buses in most cities where you can pull the cord/press a button to get off somewhere in between? and will they pick up at a stop that isn't on the list of stops? i was going to take either the 100 or 101 bus if it matters
Can someone remind me about why I should continue to take public transport to work? By car, it takes 45mins to get to work. By BMW (bus, metro, walk) it can take anywhere from 1hrs to 1hrs15mins to get to work. For some reason, public transport is still unreliable when it comes to the schedule. Sometimes the bus drivers leave early or they arrive realllyyy late. I've never been late to my new job before but Winter is coming up and I'm not sure I want to take public transport anymore. I love to drive but the point of taking the bus and metro every morning was to leave the car at home with my husband, save money and the planet from gas fumes. Oh, and having a lot of people in a small space on wheels is never fun either. They're either sick, gross or very loud.
Where can I apply for the Dash transit bus in Los Angeles? I'm tired of driving the school bus, I don't make as much money as I use to and I want a schedule where I can go to school full time as well. Where can I apply for metro? I have a Class B license with Passenger Endorsement on it. Help me out I'm tired of driving the school bus, I don't make as much money as I use to and I want a schedule where I can go to school full time as well. Where can I apply for the Dash? Should I drive or fly from Dallas Fort Worth to Los Angeles? So heres the dealio ... I wanna go to L.a this summer round june-august (no set date yet) for this music school thing but then spend like a week as a vacation I guess I could say and I live in Fort Worth.Now..Roudtrip tickets as long as I buy ahead are $99 each way in total with fees and bags and all that .. (cheap) .. now if I drive to L.a in my 2002 Mitubishi Galant V4 gas might be anywhere in average to like $200 ..each way...on top of that im looking to spend $369 on a hotel for 7 nights no matter which one I do...My life situation is I dont have a job anymore but have a good amount of free spending money so I could afford either one and still have cash left over for bills.Of course it seems I need to save all my money but realistically I can afford this trip but wouldn't mind saving money in general. Now if I fly i'll of course get the savings and all that but I would have to reply on the "Metro" bus service which my friends tell me is less than .. well its crap ... plus i wouldnt get to drive round Los Angeles/Hollywood like everyone wants to....but hey saves money..now if I drive i'll spend lots more yes but i'll get the freedom of driving round Where the hell i want without relying on schedules and urine smells on the bus. However its a 1400 mile drive that'll take 22 hours and my car has the tendency of vibrating a bit when on the highway .. air conditioner is good.i'll be set with tunes,..I'll def have to replace my tires.but after that I should be good car wise...also i'll have to worry bout stopping half way in albacookie or somethin..luckily i have a friend in alba so I could stay there for the night...also in general i'll have the whole experience of a road trip!. Which one seems like a more logical and a more realistic option ? ..Thanks for reading my novel btw oh and im 20 so im not old enough to rent a car yet lol forgot to mention that i woulda just done that in a second =[
What would this mean if this happened? Well today i had an interview at Hallmark. The guy who is the manager knows i am in school. I don't have a cell phone. But i did use my home phone number. Well he said he tried calling me to tell me that we needed to re-schedule the interview. So i took the metro bus about a 30 minute drive because of stops for no reason. He told me to call him monday to set up an interview next week. Keep in mind i am 17 with no experience. He said that is fine. This is just a temp. seasonal job for the holidays. Thanksgiving is next week. So are they just trying to let me down easily? Or do you think he was telling the truth? Because the holidays are starting next week and they needed seasonal help for the holidays
How come critics say illegals do jobs Americans want do ,is Courthouse construction jobs Americans want do? More than a quarter of the workers at the new Duval County Courthouse construction site provided false identification documents to the city, authorities said. Federal officials discovered about 100 fake documents after looking at the paperwork the city started collecting three weeks ago to crack down on arrests of undocumented workers. The city was informed of the federal checks Monday , the same day four more undocumented workers were arrested near the construction site, according to immigration officials. Nineteen illegal workers have been arrested in three incidents since September. A top aide to Mayor John Peyton asked city attorneys Monday to determine whether the continued problems could be considered a breach of contract by Turner Construction, the contractor on the $350 million project, or any of the firms hired by Turner. Last month, the city made all of the 350 people listed as employees reapply for badges to work on the site. Employees had to fill out an additional form, that the city keeps on file. If the worker is not a U.S. citizen, the city also keeps a copy of the documents the workers provide. All paperwork is available for inspection by federal authorities, Peyton spokeswoman Misty Skipper said. Skipper said the city expects to get the list of 100 illegal workers today and will give it to Turner. Turner must revoke all badges for those workers and permanently ban them from the project, or the city will find Turner in breach of contract, according to a letter sent to the company Monday. “Please know the City of Jacksonville takes this issue very seriously and will not tolerate the hiring of undocumented or unqualified workers for any construction project in our community,” Chief Administrative Officer Alan Mosley wrote. The city also told Turner it must meet with every subcontractor to ensure every worker has proper documentation. Turner Vice President David Reaves told the Times-Union on Monday evening he would call back after a meeting. Reaves did not, and he did not return further messages left at his office and on his cell phone. The city’s contract with Turner prohibits knowingly hiring undocumented workers and Turner’s agreements with subcontractors contain the same language. John Parker, president of the North Florida Building and Construction Trades Council, said what the city does from here on will show how committed it is to having legal workers on the project. And while Parker said the news about the false documents confirms what he already knew, even he was surprised there were 100. A Border Patrol agent was en route to a standard patrol at the downtown bus station when several Hispanic men scattered after seeing the federal vehicle. The agent arrested four men, said Danny Conway, patrol agent in charge for Border Patrol in Jacksonville. Neither city officials nor Conway could say who the four men worked for. The first 15 people arrested all worked for United Forming, the subcontractor pouring concrete on the project. Construction on the courthouse began in May and is scheduled to be completed in summer 2012. http://jacksonville.com/news/metro/2009-11-09/story/feds_100_workers_at_duval_courthouse_site_provide_fake_id_documents
Where can I apply for MTA in the Los Angeles Area? I'm tired of driving the school bus, I don't make as much money as I use to and I want a schedule where I can go to school full time as well. Where can I apply for metro? I have a Class B license with Passenger Endorsement on it. Help me out
From Yonkers, NY to Metro Museum of Art...? Can somebody please help me figure out how to get from Central Avenue in Yonkers, NY to the Metropolitan Museum of Art by bus? Is there a direct route that would have me only take one bus or do I have to transfer? I'm looking to go around opening time which is 9:30am. The address of the MMA is 1000 5th Ave at 82nd St. I've never taken a bus before and do not know by any means how to read this schedule!!
Scooter vs. Dirt bike? ? Does a dirt bike run more gas than a scooter? I'm trying to ride a mini motorcycle to save money on gas and insurance. So I read if it's a smaller CC(engine), if it's an olser bike, a Japanese or Other Manufacturer or a dirt bike with little horse power plus no tubor charge it's good for insurance but I have no idea about the gas...Help! lol Also, I'm just researching if it's benefical before I decide to take motorcycle classes and really be comitted to the idea since I live in Toronto and metro passes has increased to $110 per month, plus it would be nice to not wait on the bus schedule....Please be nice,. just looking for an expert opinion.Thnxs :D
how do i find out which buses to take online? like metro? i usually just call and get the schedule but i dont have a phone right now. like what website has it and how do i read those stupid map schedules? lol. im pretty sure where im going just takes 2 buses but idk where to look it up
buses from mercer island to downtown seattle? i moved to mercer island about a month ago from out of state. i just got a job in downtown seattle near the seattle arts measuem and parking seems really expensive. i noticed a big park and ride on the island and checked out the bus websites, but im kind of confused on what bus to take? it looks like both the seattle metro and the sound transit buses pick up at the park and ride and drop off in that area. anyone have any suggestions or pointers on what the better option would be? and are the schedules fairly acurate because from unless im reading the schedule wrong it looks like it takes only about 10 mins for the bus to get downtown from mercer island. that seems really quick? how much traffic time should i factor into riding a bus? sorry for all the questions but back where i used to live i didn't work downtown so i've never really had to deal with commuting into a busy city and am not familiar with riding big city buses.
What should I do to surprise my husband for our anniversary, in North East US? I want to give him a surprise one day getaway around where we stay (NYC). I looked up pretty much everything - from PA/BMore Trips with Bolt Bus, Long Island/Metro North packages, etc. We've been to Atlantic City and D.C. I wouldn't like to exceed $100 (without dinner included). Our anniversary is on July 14th, which will land on a Wednesday,I believe. I was thinking of doing a picnic at Appalachian Trail, by taking Metro North. And that will have to be done in the weekend since the train schedule is only available such dates and I do not want to depend on weather much. Plus, I would like to explore all my possibilities. If money wasn't a issue (besides that timing is also an issue), I'd go to Niagara Falls or Maine...I can't exceed the 6-hr trip next month though as our schedules are super busy. We do not have cars. Feel free to share any experiences you may have from a close-by getaway. Thanks! My main questions are: What's the best option? Are there any other places I haven't mentioned, which I should consider? Package deals with round trip transportation is also considered.

How to wake up early for school? Well this year I would like to attend a new school, problem is; it's about an hour and a half away by train and bus (free metro card provided by school). So how can I wake up in time enough to catch the train? Here is a schedule my friend and I have come up with: (Bathe, pack school bag, and Iron clothes night before) 5: 30 - Wake up & Pray & Shower 5: 45- Eat breakfast & Dress & Prepare. 6: 15 - Call friend & Catch bus 6: 30: - Meet friend and catch train 6:35 - 7: 50 ( MAXIMUM TRAIN RIDE TIME) 8: 30 - 3: 30 (SCHOOL) 3: 30 - 4: 45 (Train/H.W/Coming Home) Any suggestions on how I can wake up early enough?
How do I find the schedule for NJ Transit going to Metropolitan? I'm finding the schedule for the bus going to Metropolitan, but I don't know if there's an exact stop at Metro. It's okay if I have walk a little bit. I just need to find the stop nearest to Metro. But I don't know how to look up on the website for NJ Transit. Can anybody tell me how I can find it? I need to find all the times and stops. Oh sorry! I mean the city!! Near NYC but still in NJ. I mean, Metro, one of the campuses of FDU, in Teaneck.
How do I get from Bowie to DC?!? So I currently reside in Bowie, Maryland. I'd like very much to visit the District of Columbia, however all of my current sources for a ride are void. If I can get to the New Carrollton Station, I can ride the metro, but the current issue at hand is how the FUCK can I get to New Carrollton???!?!?!?!?!?!?>1`m23k`[ All around the city are buses that will take you there. However, said buses are quite secretive. They like for me to not know their schedules and locations. I see them once in a blue moon, and sometimes not even then! Google is in on their antics, and he won't tell me anything either. Does anyone in the world contain information to these buses?!?! Like a schedule or something? And how much does it cost?
How can I get from Whittier CA to Hilton School of Bussiness in LA? Hi there, I am going to LA for a seminar and would like to know how to move there once i am there: I'll be staying in Whittier, Ca (Comstock Ave) and the seminar is at the Hilton School of Bussiness...the address is the following: Hilton 100 Theatre Hilton School of Business 1 LMU Drive Los Angeles, CA 90045 I already searched in google maps but that is more useful when driving, i need to know what buses/metro etc i need to take and where, if possible can u provide me with websites of the public transport so i can organize my schedule? How can I add exercising into a busy schedule? I'm a 13 year old girl and I've realized that I really need to start getting active and physically fit. I have a running machine at home but I'm too embarassed to exercise infront of my parents. Also, I live in an apartment which makes it impossible to do anything. Everyday, I walk about 5-10 minutes to school (after taking the bus and metro) twice a day so I consider that exercising (and I usually have a heavy backpack). After school, I have homework and math tutoring every day and I end at around 9:00. Then I shower the night before (because I have to wake up a 6:30 a.m.) which leaves me no time to exercise. What should I do?

How to get to Laguna Hills from Glendale, Pasadena, Arcadia, or places around these? Hi, I live in La Canada, CA 91011, I can get a ride to places around here like Pasadena, Glendale, Arcadia, etc, but to get to Laguna Hills it would be 1 hour and 21 min which is a bit long, so I want to take a bus to Laguna Hills myself after the ride to the stations. I tried the Google Map's transit scheduler, found out I can go from Glendale Metrolink Station to Laguna Hills. But I was planning to depart on Dec 20 or later, and after Dec 13, the Google scheduler tells me that "Sorry, we don't have transit schedule data for a trip from Glendale Metrolink Station to laguna hills at the time and date you specified." Do I have to wait til this week is over in order for it to compute the schedules after Dec 13? And is there an alternative way to get to Laguna Hills from here besides driving? Or is there another station I can take besides Glendale Metro Station? Thanks for all the helps.

Do ferries run from Salerno to Positano on Sundays? I know the SITA bus line runs, but the schedule is very inconvenient on Sundays (3hr "layover" in Amalfi is part to blame). I'm aware of the following ferry services, but can't figure out if they run on Sundays: Metro del Mare (whose http://www.metrodelmare.com/ website has been down for a couple of months for "maintenance") Coop. Sant'Andrea: http://www.coopsantandrea.com/it/servizidilinea/servizi_b.asp?id=4
Montreal to Joliette or St-Jerome? I do not speak French, not enough to find my way around the ATM website. I need to figure out how to get from Montreal to either St-Jerome (via the metro and the commuter train) OR Joliette (I understand there's a CRT bus 55 that goes there?). What I need to know - where can I find the commuter train schedule, and how much does it cost? Also: I will have one of STM's tourist cards that provides access to the busses and the metro. Will this card work on the CRT bus to Joliette? If not, how much does that trip cost?
Please Help ME Plan a Trip to Disneyland!? Please answer if you are realllyyyy bored and would like to help plan a disneyland trip. me and my friend would like to go to disneyland on March 22 for her birthday and she gets in free. so we need transportation. both of our parents dont want to go, so we came up with an idea to take the metro. but the metro leaves on that day at 530 in the morning and gets to anaheim at 630. which is tooo early. what are we gonna do there for alone for such a long time. so the train proababyl wont work out. unless YOU can find a metro or amtrak or whatever u call them and find a good schedule for us. so if we get a train and end up taking the 530 train then how would we get to disneyland. we dotn want to take a taxi. can u please notify us of any shuttles that go? by the way, if we do ,we will be traveling by the SAN BERNARDINO train station. our second choice was a charter bus. we tried looking up some information but failed. it got too complicated for us. lol. so please help us find a charter bus that will take us. and we want to get there in the morning, but not as early as 630. maybe get there at like 8 or 9. WE WILL BE SOOOOO GRATEFUL OF U!

Trying to go to new school? Well, long story short: MY SCHOOL SUCKS! My friend and I are sophomores in high school and it's like I'm just wasting my education. The school is EXTREMELY small and it hold grades 1 through 12 plus daycare all in one building not to mention they don’t offer any special programs to help you go about pursuing the career of your choice. The only reason we attend it is because it’s close to home. Now, the school has another campus located in Manhattan (my friend and I live in Brooklyn). We know that’s a bit of a distance, but we are willing to do what it takes. Here’s a schedule we both came up with. (Bathe, pack school bag, and Iron clothes night before) 5: 45 - Wake up & Pray & Shower 6: 00 - Eat breakfast & Dress & Prepare. 6: 20 - Call friend & Catch bus 6: 45 -Meet friend and catch train 6: 45 - 8: 15 (TRAIN) School starts at 8:30. How do you think we can both go about convincing our parents to send us to this school? Metro cards are provided free by the school.
