Is it better to take the shuttle bus from Heathrow Airport, London to my hotel or to just take the Tube? This will be my very first time travelling out of the country. Even though the shuttle will cost me a bit more, is it worth it opposed to the rumoured craziness of the Tube?
Bus service - Temecula/Murrieta to Orange County, California? Are there any privately run shuttle/commuter buses that run from Temecula or Murrieta to Orange County, California? I know I can take a bus to Riverside and transfer to an OCTA bus, but that is indirect and has too many stops which results in an almost three hour bus ride. Also, no service on weekends. Metrolink is out of the question. No direct service - trips would be over two hours each way.
Are there any Shuttle buses that go from San Francisco Bay Area to Clear Lake, California? I wanted to know if there was a shuttle bus, or more than one shuttle bus that travels from San Francisco to Clear Lake, California. I have tried researching on Amtrak and Greyhound, but neither of them go as close as i would like to go. Of course pricing options are a big deal as well and im looking for a great deal. im actually going because i know Clear Lake is full of Rednecks and some beauty-that is the reason im going there! (lame huh?) If there are shuttles that go near besides Amtrak and Greyhound, what are they? I am going for the weekend or for a day trip, because im a major traveler and love to seek out adventure! I've tried researching but have gotten vivid results to my solution. Let me know, thanks! I live in San Francisco, and it would be best to get a bus from here and transfer anywhere. Also-if there are prices for different age limits list that to the lowest age of 16 and over. thanks!

is $750 dollars enough for 1 week in california spending money? Hi basically been to the states many times but only doing 1 week (flying in from UK) as meeting a friend who will be finishing his year out travelling. Flights, transfers, accommodation is all covered. Spending 1 night in Hollywood then getting a shuttle/bus up san fran for 4 nights then coming back and doing 2 nights (but really one whole day - thinking Venice Beach) in LA again. Don't really plan on any shopping, only thing tourist wise will be a $40 Alcatraz excursion whilst in San fran, think we will be walking/local transport everywhere to just take in the sites. McD's an IHOP's or just grabbing a sandwich an soda when out, hoping for maybe a couple of meals whilst in san fran - fishermans wharf but really thats it. Mainly money will be on drink! lol Not hardcore but probably 3/4 nights having a few drinks (that said were both getting Litre & 1/2 vodka bottles at airport on way in to start our evenings). So thinking about $100 a day, perhaps less as in $50 a day when were on the 8hr bus ride from hell back an fourth (that takes out 2 days!) an maybe like $130 when we have a meal in evening followed by few bars. I'll have my Visa debit card with about $500 an the remains of my mastercard ($150 lol) just incase, But guys is this do-able????? Tips/Advice welcome! First time West Coast USA, done NYC and Florida a good 5/6 times but that was when the economy was good...LOL Cheers PLEASE NOTE INCLUDES HOTELS, ALL PAID UP

Sacramento Regional Transit District desires to sell 8 acres on Cemo Circle for residential development? How might one prevent the proposed sale to developers a parcel owned by Sacramento Regional Transit District located on Cemo Circle in Gold River {Rancho Cordova}California. Designated as Bus Rapid Transit it should not result in condominiums but should be used as park and ride/ bus car park and paired with a route traversing nearby Citrus Rd. closed to autos & currently maintained as a bike trail by Sacramento County on one of the most congested corridors in a 6 county area. Electric trolley or bus would shuttle commuters to the Sunrise Light Rail station only one half mile distance by passing underneath highway 50 and arriving within 5 minutes to Sunrise light rail station. Sale of this property seems to violate RT's stated Values/purposes and simultaneously will render useless an expensive bridge abuttment over the American River designed to carry a light rail car. 5000 residences and businesses exist in this 25 yr old area between the river and the highway with NO bus service. which college housing is best for my situation? Should I choose On or Off Campus? (need advice please)? What should I do???? PLEASE HELP ME? As of now I only have $1,358.38 to my name. I just got my job back after being laid off! And I plan to save every dime until I leave for college in late March. I live in Atlanta, GA and I got accepted to a Columbia College Hollywood in Los Angeles and (I am going). But I dont know where I should stay though. For On campus housing which really isnt on campus, the place is at, Merdian Pointe (which CCH students are housed in) and its about 10- 15 mins away from CCH by shuttle bus, but Meridian Pointe is right across the street from California State University Northridge. I have talked to a few current students who are attending the same school Im going too on facebook, and they thought that staying there was either a HELL HOLE or that it was okay some said dont waste your money. Some thought it was great. If I am going to stay there I want to share a dorm with someone so that if we get along and we both dont like it, we can move into a apartment and split the rent. For on campus housing the rules are that you have to sign a contract for 9 months and pay for the dorm each quarter, mostly its 3 quarters Fall, Winter, and Spring summer is break. The one I would stay at would be the Raliegh dorm studio Fall is $1,689 Winter is $1,464 and Spring is $1,464 thats $4,617 a year For OFF CAMPUS Housing one of the housing coordinators told me that a man who has a house that is 1/2 acre large and he lets CCH students to rent out rooms furnished for $675 a month and $675 for security deposit I calculated that for 12 months because thats like living on your own and that was a little over $8,000 a year which is more expansive to me. THIS IS MY PLAN BELOW and TELL ME IF ITS A GOOD IDEA Now I start in April for Spring Quarter and it doesnt end until the end of June, and I plan on being a part time student for just that quarter and then come back to ATL for Summer, fill out FAFSA to get loans and then come back to LA and go to school full time and stay in a dorm for the whole school year. The reason why I dont want to be on campus housing this quarter is because of the 9 month contract and that means, I have to pay over the summer since its a 9 month contract and thats a waste of money to spend while im not going to be there during summer quarter. SO BASICALLY WHAT I AM ASKING IS WHICH ONE I SHOULD CHOOSE OFF CAMPUS OR ON CAMPUS HOUSING? WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE IF I CAN AFFORD IT WITH THE PLAN I HAVE? IF YOU DONT THINK I CAN AFFORD SHOULD I PLEED TO MY PARENTS THAT IF I CAN HAVE A ALLOWANCE? No its time for me to leave home with parents I can stay for the summer but not to live anymore we are like oil and water

Why didn't he tell me good bye? I'm one of the last people one of my guy friends saw before moving back home to california- he had been living in Georgia for the last year. We both stayed in a hotel about a thousand miles from Georgia with a group we're both involved in however there was only me and a couple of other people he knew in the hotel. We both had flights that left at different times in the morning for different locations. The other people from our group had already left. While waiting for the shuttle bus, I saw him sitting at the breakfast area (which overlooked the area I was waiting at)- I was fairly easy to see. He never came to say goodbye to me when the shuttle bus came to pick me up. It was the last time we'd see each other and he never said good bye. Why? I know this is kind of a silly question, that half of you are going to say "Ask him yourself!" But I can't. I just... can't. What kind of reason would you give for not saying by to a friend? Also, I know he wasn't mad at me or anything... he had just given me a big arrival hug when I arrived at the airport the day before. Thanks
Can You Believe This Cheap Mexican airlines are taking Mexican right to our border for illegal immigration? MEXICALI, Mexico - Among travelers, it's jokingly known as Aeromigrante - Migrant Air. New discount airlines in Mexico are doing a brisk business shuttling migrants to the U.S. border, turning what was once a days-long trek into an easy hop for legions of workers, both legal and illegal. "It's much more comfortable than the bus and about the same price," said Leopoldo Torres, 37, of Mexico City, as he stretched his legs aboard Volaris Flight 190 to the border city of He and a traveling companion, Julio Menéndez, paid $118 each for the three-hour flight. They planned to cross into the United States illegally through the California desert. Such migrants have become bread-and-butter customers for airlines Volaris, Avolar, Alma, Viva Aerobus, Interjet and Click, all of which have started up in the past two years. Older carriers such as Aero California and Aviacsa have cut their own prices to compete. "The most productive routes we have are cities where you have those passengers who are traveling with the idea of the American Dream," said Luis Ceceña, a spokesman for Avolar. About 70 percent of Avolar's passengers are migrants, he said. For some airlines like Avolar, the emphasis on migrant travel was a conscious decision, with company officials structuring their routes and fares around migrants' needs, he said. For others, it was simply a side effect of low prices, which have opened up air travel to millions of poorer Mexicans. The airlines say they treat migrants like any other passengers. The Mexican government has promised to try to slow emigration by creating jobs in Mexico. But by law, Mexican authorities and companies cannot impede the free travel of their fellow citizens, even if they suspect they are going to cross the U.S. border illegally. Heading for the desert Travelers planning to cross illegally are easy to spot. At the Hermosillo airport, a major crossroads for migrants headed to the Arizona desert, they are the men traveling in groups of three and four, wearing new sneakers or hiking boots and carrying nothing but backpacks. "Altar! Naco! Nogales!" taxi dispatcher Javier Montaño shouted outside the airport as he directed travelers to vans headed to the main staging grounds for illegal border crossers. Because of the increased traffic, Mexican immigration agents now check the IDs of all arriving passengers, even on domestic flights, to try to catch Central American migrants headed to the border. In Hermosillo, federal police conduct spot checks on the vans before they leave the airport. "By law, we can't stop the Mexican (migrants)," police Officer Carlos Zequera Arias said. "But the Central Americans are starting to get on these flights, too." Falling prices Until the flood of discount airlines began in 2005, air travel in Mexico was too expensive for most poor Mexicans. A one-way flight from central Mexico to Tijuana ran $300 or more on the country's two flag carriers, Aeromexico and Mexicana. For most migrants, getting to the border meant days of travel on long-distance buses - or for the very poor, a harrowing and illegal ride on Mexico's railways while clinging to a freight car. The discount airlines cut costs by copying the business model of U.S. carrier Southwest Airlines. They fly out of smaller airports, make several stops on the same trip, bypass travel-agent fees by selling directly to customers, and concentrate on a few high-volume routes instead of a hub-and-spoke system. Typical fares to Tijuana from Toluca, just east of Mexico City, are now around $150 on the discount airlines. That has opened up air travel to millions of new customers, said José Calderoni, marketing director for Volaris. About one-third of the airline's passengers have never flown before, he said. Overall, the number of Mexicans flying has jumped 36 percent since 2004. About 13.4 million people took domestic flights from January to June, according to Mexico's Institute of Statistics, Geography and Information Processing. The discount airlines have been adding planes and routes at a breakneck pace. Avolar has grown from one jetliner and three destinations to nine with 16 destinations. Viva Aerobus has 21 destinations and plans to double its fleet to 10 jets from five. Interjet has nine planes and says it will order 20 more. Alma has 15 regional jets and 25 destinations, Volaris has 12 planes and 17 destinations, while Click has 26 destinations with 18 planes and six on order. Help Me !!! Can't take the abuse...Life changing decision? What should I do? My mom has been abusive ever since I was 10. She has been extremely over-protective and always screams beats pick fights with me. I've been through hell and back and have always put up with her ****. (Keep in mind that I am 17). This year was my first year in college very successful actually. I am from California and go to school in DC. My mom made it a point all semester to do "dorm phone" checks calling my cell phone then calling my room phone then skyping me and it had become so annoying to my roommate and floormates. She would call or text or facebook message my friends asking them where I was and what I was doing. She even re-activated my phone from back home to see who was texting me and what kind of text messages I got. Meanwhile I met a really great guy. He is truly an amazing person and we have been in a strong relationship for 4 months going on 5. We are really close to each other and I don't want to leave him because I fear ill never see him again. My mom threatened that I cannot come back next semester. She knows about him and hates him without knowing him he always takes care of me when Im sick buys me things and he went out of his way to have a conversation with my mom which she pretended to enjoy only to talk **** about him behind his back. She has stalked his facebook created a fake twitter to follow him. She knows my password and username for my facebook and still curses me out about nothing. I stop seeing him for a while because she asked me not to but now it is pointless. This morning I called her I woke up to 6 missing calls at 1:47 in the morning while I was sleep. I said goodmorning only to hear her scream call me a ***** and she told me when I get back to not call her phone and to now come to her house but stay with my grandfather. What is the point of even going back. With my boyfriends job and mine we can get a place together and actually live stable. My shuttle bus comes at 7:45 am my flight leaves at 11:40 am. Should I continue to suffer and never return to my really good school and what seems to be the love of my life or should I take a leap of faith and begin a life of my own. I have 12 hours to decide.

fastest way to san francisco from fresno? What is the fastest and cheapest way to travel from Fresno to San Francisco on a daily commute basis. I know by car it will take 3 hours to San Francisco and 4 to 5 hours coming back from San Francisco. But I'm looking for alternate way either by commuter shuttles or bus programs from Fresno County. Or daily direct flights from Fresno International to SFO. I know there is direct flights from Aligiant air from Fresno to Vegas, but how about Fresno to SFO? I looked at Amtrak and Greyhound from Fresno to San Francisco but it takes them roughly about 4hours to get there and they leave Fresno at either 6am or 7am arriving 10am or 11am which is extremely late if you have to be at work at 8am or 9am. I know the California High Speed Rail is coming but until then does anyone have any suggestions that can be useful. I also looked at car pooling or carpool programs but the drive time is still the same to and from. Are there any airplane jumpers from Fresno to San Carlos that anyone know? renting is a good idea, but I own property in Fresno so I would be paying mortgage on top of rent. Unless I sold my property but market values of home has dropped or rent my property out which is then I have to become landlord and more responsibilities. I wish there was an entrepenuer person who can facilitate this necessity and possibly provide an economic upflow in transportation service.
Why are illegals again demanding free college education with Mexico Flag ?Students March for DREAM Act? Protesters from around California marched in Sacramento Friday to encourage Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to sign legislation that would allow undocumented immigrant college students to be eligible for financial aid. Nearly 2,000 people gathered for the protest, including around 100 students from UC Berkeley and Berkeley High School, according to Ronald Cruz, a UC Berkeley law student and an organizer for By Any Means Necessary, a political organization that has taken special interest in the California Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act, or DREAM Act. The organization funded two charter buses to help shuttle student protesters to Sacramento. "What we showed is that the movement is very strong and nothing but full freedom and equal treatment will stop this movement," Cruz said. "What's clear is that there's a lot of optimism that we really felt at the rally, that our mission can turn the corner at any time and definitely that if we don't win the DREAM Act this year, we will very soon." Schwarzenegger's deadline to sign or veto the DREAM Act, is Sept. 30. The act would allow undocumented students to receive financial aid administered by California Community Colleges, California State Universities and the University of California. http://www.dailycal.org/article/102811/students_march_for_dream_act

Voodoo Festival Questions? Hi guys! This is the first time my friend and I will be going to Voodoo Fest in New Orleans for the whole weekend. Actually, it's the first time we've ever been to New Orleans (we're from San Diego), I had just a couple questions and hopefully someone out there may know the answers :) 1) We won't have transportation, but we heard about the shuttle (which I think you pay in advance for? it's near our hotel) or were thinking of taking the bus or a cab. In the past at other music events in other cities, it was no problem getting a ride there (like a cab or a bus), but not as many options to get back in the middle of the night. How is the public transportation in that area? 2) Are bars open fairly late in New Orleans? In California last call is 1:30a. We are thinking of what to do after each night's last act. And any suggestions as to where? I'm sure there's a lot of options :) 3) A friend (who isn't coming with us) went last year. She says we have to bring our Halloween costumes with us, because she and everyone else there were dressed up all weekend last year. She was positive it wasn't Halloween weekend when she went. Is this true??? 4) Also, I've seen the lineup online, but I haven't seen any actual time schedules. Has anyone seen any posted yet online or do you generally not know until the day of? And any other fun suggestions of what we should do while we are in town would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the help and we'll be seeing you all in New Orleans soon! :) Oops! Nevermind about the schedule. got it! :)
How can I get to Universal Studios Hollywood from Anaheim? My husband and I are flying out to California for the Christmas weekend next month and we are staying in Anaheim right near Disneyland. We will be going to Disneyland on December 24th and 25th but we have a whole day to do something else on the 22nd and we want to go to Universal Studios. We're only 23 years old and I can't find a place that will rent a car to us and Universal Studios has a shuttle and ticket package but I called the shuttle company and asked what their pickup time is at our hotel, it's the exact time our plane lands that morning. So no luck with that deal (the link is below in case you're interested). So my question is, does anyone know of a pretty cheap way to get from Anaheim to Universal Studios? I figured a cab would be crazy expensive, and my brother suggested the city bus which is a no-go for me, it sounds too gross and it probably smells like hobos. https://secure.universalstudios.com/WebStore/shop/ViewItems.aspx?Merchant=USHMainStore&CategoryGroupExternalID=USHMain&CategoryExternalID=ShutLAn
Is there a way to get directly from Portland Airport to Seaside Oregon under $100? I am from Southern California and I am flying up to Oregon alone for spring break. I am only 19 so once I get to the airport I can't rent a car and individual shuttling or taxi services just to get to my hotel in Seaside which is about two hours away costs more than my entire trip! The hotel does not have courtesy services so I am going to literally be stuck there if I can't figure out a way other than to pay $500 just to get to the hotel and back to the airport. Can anyone tell me if there is a bus or train I can take or multiple stop route way to make it to Seaside cheap? thanks :{

Funny Jokes!!!!!!? How do you make oil boil?? You add a "b" -------------------------------------------------- Fresh from her shower, a woman stands in front of the mirror complaining to her husband that her breasts are too small. Instead of characteristically telling her it's not so, the husband uncharacteristically comes up with a suggestion. "If you want your breasts to grow, then every day take a piece of toilet paper and rub it between your breasts for a few seconds." Willing to try anything, the wife fetches a piece of toilet paper and stands in front of the mirror, rubbing it between her breasts. "How long will this take?" she asks. "They'll grow larger over a period of years," he replies. The wife stops. "Why do you think rubbing a piece of toilet paper between my breasts everyday will make my breasts grow over the years?" "Worked for your butt, didn't it?" He lived. And with a great deal of therapy, may even walk again.. --------------------------------------------- Why are black people tall? because their negros (knee grows). ------------------------------------------------------------ guy walking down the street sees a woman with perfect breasts. He says to her, "Hey miss, would you let me bite your breasts for $100 dollars? "Are you nuts? !!" she replies, and keeps walking away. He turns around, runs around the block and gets to the corner before she does. "Would you let me bite your breasts for $1,000 dollars?" he asks again. "Listen you; I'm not that kind of woman! Got it?" So the guy runs around the next block and faces her again. "Would you let me bite your breasts just once for $10,000 dollars?" She thinks about it for a while and says, "Hmmm, $10,000 dollars, eh? Ok, just once, but not here. Let's go to that dark alley over there." So they go into the alley, where she takes off her blouse to reveal the most perfect breasts in the world. As soon as he sees them, he grabs them and starts caressing them, fondling them slowly, kissing them, licking them, burying his face in them, but not biting them. The woman finally gets annoyed and asks, "Well? Are you gonna bite them or not?" "Nah", he replies. "Costs too much..............." ------------------------------------------------------------------- Garden of Eden Story: Adam was walking around the Garden of Eden feeling very lonely, so God asked him, "What is wrong with you?" Adam said he didn't have anyone to talk to. God said he was going to give him a companion and it would be a woman. God said, "This person will cook for you and wash your clothes, she will always agree with every decision you make. She will bear you children and never ask you to get up in the middle of the night to take care of them. She will not nag you, and will always be the first to admit she was wrong when you've had a disagreement. She will never have a headache, and will freely give you love and compassion whenever needed." Adam asked God, "What will a woman like that cost?" God said, "An arm and a leg." Adam said, "What can I get for just a rib?" The rest is history. --------------------------------------------------------- Last in Line: A bus carrying only ugly people crashes into an oncoming truck and everyone inside dies. When they get to meet their maker, because of the grief they have experienced, He decides to grant them one wish each before they enter Heaven. They're all lined up, and God asks the first one what their wish is. "I want to be gorgeous." So God snaps His fingers, and it is done. The second one in line hears this and says, "I want to be gorgeous too." Another snap of His fingers and the wish is granted. This goes on for a while with each one asking to be gorgeous but when God is halfway down the line, the last guy in the line starts laughing. By the time there are only ten people left, this one guy is rolling on the floor, laughing his head off. Finally, God reaches this last guy and asks him what his wish will be. The guy eventually calms down and says: "Make 'em all ugly again." So, the next time you are last in line.......smile! ------------------------------------------------------- A business man got on an elevator. When he entered, there was a blonde already inside who greeted him with a bright, "T-G-I-F." He smiled at her and replied, "S-H-I-T." She looked puzzled and repeated, "T-G-I-F," more slowly. He again answered, "S-H-I-T." The blonde was trying to keep it friendly, so she smiled her biggest smile, and said as sweetly as possibly, "T-G-I-F." The man smiled back to her and once again, "S-H-I-T." The exasperated blonde finally decided to explain. 'T-G-I-F' means 'Thank Goodness It's Friday.' Get it, duuhhh?" The man answered, "'S-H-I-T' means 'Sorry, Honey, It's Thursday' -------------------------------------------------------------------- NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE: A middle aged woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. While on the operating table she had a near death experience. Seeing God, she asked if this was it. God said, "No you have another 43 years, 2 months, and 8 days to live." Upon recovery the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a facelift, liposuction, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, etc. She even had someone come in and change her hair color, figuring since she had so much more time to live, she might as well make the most of it. She got out of the hospital after the last operation and while crossing the street was killed by an ambulance speeding to the hospital. Arriving in front of God, she demanded, "I thought you said I had another 40 Years?" God replied, "I didn't recognize you." -------------------------------------------------------------- HOW FAR Two blondes living in Oklahoma were sitting on a bench talking.... and one blonde says to the other, "Which do you think is farther away, Florida or the moon?" She then wrote a big note saying, "I've kidnapped your kid. Tomorrow morning, put $10,000 in a paper bag and leave it under the apple tree next to the slides on the south side of the playground. Signed, A blonde." The blonde then pinned the note to the kid's shirt and sent him home to show it to his parents. The blonde looked in the bag and found the $10,000 with a note that said, "How could you do this to a fellow blonde?" ------------------------------------------------------ Q.
