Do you have to stop when a school bus stops at a railway crossing? I live in Ontario, Canada. Yesterday, a small school bus flashed it's lights to stop at the railway (as all buses have to). I saw people in the opposite direction stop for the bus, but I didn't. Are you supposed to stop for a school bus that stops at a railway, even though they're not letting kids on or off? If so, I thought you only had to stop for a school bus if it's stop sign was out, or children were being let on or off of the bus?

Why not place the bus stops after the traffic lights instead of before them? I think that will make the bus go a little faster. Because so often the bus stops before a green light to take in and/or drop passengers, by the time it's done and the bus is ready to go the light might have already turned yellow or red and must wait another 20 to 30 seconds before green light. let the bus cross the light first and then stop.

As a bus driver, would I get off with "accidentally" colliding with cars parked on the bus stops? Parents parking illegally when at bus stops - why do they do that? I completely understand that parents want to watch their kids at the bus stop/wait for them at the bus stop - but this should be done in a LEGAL manner. Time and time again I see parents parking right in front of a stop sign or in front of a fire hydrant or who park in the middle of the road and traffic can't get by. This is not only illegal, but it's highly dangerous. For example, you car is blocking the stop sign, someone might not see it, and run through it and hit a car/bus/kids. Don't these parents remember the rules from their Driver's Ed class?? Hey, I was just interested in whether you would be confident to talk to people that are next to you in public places like Bus stops, Buses, Trains etc. Because when I'm sitting at bus stops or on buses I get bored, and often see other people like it too, and think it's crazy how people sit next to eachother yet never talk to eachother just because they haven't "met" them yet. Yet how can they meet them if they don't talk to them? I find this behaviour strange, yet most people find me strange for talking to them, I don't ramble on with crap or anything I just make conversation. I think the world would be more interesting and people would understand people more if they talked to eachother, and I think people would learn more if they talked and listend to eachother. Ok I need to go from Sussex Counrty NJ (Landing Area) to the corner of Broadway & Grand st in NYC what is the closest train stop & or Bus Stop to that corner from NJ? In NJ I will be leaving by a train or bus (Bus is Landing area, train is Netcong NJ area) Thanks in advanced =) I know that this is a strage question but Y'a never know.
