Miniature Italian Greyhound Puppies Knowledge Base
Have you ever had a dream in answer to a prayer that came true? Have you ever had a dream in answer to a prayer that came true? This past weekend I had reached a low point in my life. I spent several days soul searching about how I have come to this point, as I am unhappy with my life and hope to be married and have a family. I prayed to God to send me my husband and to let me know who he was. This past early dawn I had a dream where my mother was feeding me baby greyhounds and I was eating them, and feeling disturbed at it. It was such a weird dream that I looked up the dream in a dream dictionary and found that greyhounds mean new friendship and opportunities, and eating means the sustenance of what you really need in life. I did not think of it again but today I was coming home after a long day and a man was getting into the elevator with me. He had a dog which looked to me to be a miniature italian greyhound puppy. I commented on how it is such an unforgettable dog by the way it moves, and he said that people often remember the dog's name before his name. I asked him the dog's name and he said her name is Lily. My mom's name is Lily. We introduced ourselves and got off the elevator. I have never had something like this happen the day after such a weird dream. My dad had a prophetic dream like this once and it came true. Has anyone else had a similar experience? What might it mean? Thank you.

Puppy is stealing our clothes? We have a 9week old italian greyhound/miniature pincer/chinese chested cross puppy who we have had for a week. She has settled in really well and appears happy. She is already learnt to go toilet on the puppy pad at the back door (we hope to move this outside when she has had all her immunisations) and some commands ie 'sit' and 'leave'. However although she seems happy, she has started taking our clothes,ie socks and putting them in her basket. Is this normal? she doesn't play with them, just lies with them, we are a bit concerned that she is insecure. Are we over reacting?

What are some gifts to ask for, for Christmas? I'm a teen and a tomboy. I'm having trouble thinking of things to ask for. I have 1 thing I've asked for so far, and would like more than that, money is boring for Christmas. I would really like a little puppy (like an italian greyhound) but can't get one since we already have a miniature pinscher and rent. I can't ask for any more animals in general, we already have 4. I have a tv in my room, computer in my room, iTouch, a phone, Nintendo DS, PS2, DVD player and games. I was thinking about asking for some more Sims 2 expansion packs, but besides that and a subscription to something I have no clue what to ask for. You don't even have to name specific things, just things in general to get me thinking about things. I don't want to make it hard for my parents, and I also want something that I don't know what it is (since I already know I'm getting the subscription) to open on Christmas. I'm not into dolls, stuffed animals, or anything girly. I am a tomboy. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.
teacup and pocket puppy questions? I have seen this topic over and over again. Both sides are adamant that they are correct. I have seen people state that if you google it you will get hundreds of pictures so they must be a real breed. That is not true, I could put a picture up of a flying purple people eater that does not mean they exist. I am of the belief that there are no such things as teacup and pocket dogs. That they are fancy names that people put on runts to try and get them to sell and when they did they started breeding runts together and called it a breed. I have been all over the AKC website and I found a toy group. These were the dogs listed in the section: Affenpinscher Brussels Griffon Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Chihuahua Chinese Crested English Toy Spaniel Havanese Italian Greyhound Japanese Chin Maltese Manchester Terrier Miniature Pinscher Papillon Pekingese Pomeranian Poodle Pug Shih Tzu Silky Terrier Toy Fox Terrier Yorkshire Terrier Not one mention of a teacup or pocket. If it cannot be registered as an actual breed with a reputable registry then how can you call it a "breed"? And yes I do know that there are more reputable regisries than just AKC so if one of them has a teacup or a pocket please let me know. Also why would you want a dog smaller than this? Some of those breeds are less than 6 pounds. I really want actual facts so if you are going to respond with "because they are" or "there are pictures of them so they must be a real breed" please don't. I want to have true information so that we can educate people on what is true and what is made up. Thank you. Lexy--There were two questions (they both had questions marks). 1. Why do you (or anyone) believe that a teacup or pocket dog is a breed, and what is your proof? 2. Why would you want something smaller as some dogs are already under 6 pounds? I am not looking to get one of these dogs. I am just trying to find why people think this is a breed, or group. Does anyone have any proof? I see this people looking for a teacup or a pocket puppy and I do not think they exist. If I am wrong I would like to know. So if anyone has any proof or real information I would like to know about it. Thanks Thank you to everyone who responded. I really do want to try and understand both sides of this issue. I am aware that this is a difficult question as each side has their own seperate opinion. I like to hear both sides if I can, when I can, to any issue. Thanks again.
Which breed should I get? Yes this is a repost, but I added a lot more info in this one, so hopefully I will get some better answers. So I made a list of a bunch of small breeds and put YES, NO, or MAYBE next to all of their names. I really don't know which to pick though! It would really help if you could put 5-10 of the best dogs in your opinion out of the ones I listed. I really need help picking! I am looking for a small dog that I can compete with in conformation. Most are pretty good. It would really help! Oh, and you can add dogs to your list even if they say NO or MAYBE next to them. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS! I am sorry if I am asking a lot! Affenpinscher YES Australian Terrier YES Basenji MAYBE Beagle YES Bichon Frise YES Border Terrier YES Boston Terrier YES Brussels Griffon MAYBE Cairn Terrier YES Cardigan Welsh Corgi YES Cavalier King Charles Spaniel YES Cesky Terrier YES Chihuahua MAYBE / NO Chinese Crested Dog YES Cocker Spaniel YES Dachshund MAYBE Dandie Dinmont Terrier MAYBE English Toy Spaniel MAYBE Finnish Spitz MAYBE Smooth Fox Terrier NO Wire Fox Terrier MAYBE French Bulldog YES Havanese YES Irish Terrier MAYBE Italian Greyhound YES Japanese Chin YES Lakeland Terrier MAYBE Lhasa Apso YES Lowchen YES! Maltese MAYBE Manchester Terrier (Toy) NO Miniature Bull Terrier YES Miniature Pinscher MAYBE Miniature Poodle YES Miniature Schnauzer MAYBE Norfolk Terrier YES Norwegian Lundehund MAYBE Norwich Terrier YES Papillon YES Parson Russel Terrier (Jack Russel Terrier) MAYBE Pekingese MAYBE Pembroke Welsh Corgi YES Pomeranian MAYBE Toy Poodle YES! Pug YES! Puli MAYBE Pyrenean Shepherd YES! Schipperke YES Scottish Terrier MAYBE Shetland Sheepdog YES Shiba Inu MAYBE Shih Tzu YES Silky Terrier MAYBE Skye Terrier MAYBE / NO Swedish Vallhund YES! Tibetan Spaniel MAYBE Tibetan Terrier MAYBE Toy Fox Terrier YES Welsh Terrier YES West Highland White Terrier YES Yorkshire Terrier MAYBE / NO I have a German Shepherd / Boxer mix, so I want the breed to generally get along with other dogs. I will also be getting the dog as a puppy. My current dog is great with other dogs, and not territorial at all. Yes, the Parson Russel Terrier IS the same breed as the Jack Russel Terrier. They changed the name to Parson Russel Terrier in 2003. I have 2 cats, 1 dog, and 2 fish. I am looking for a dog who is friendly with people and dogs (I will be getting it from puppy hood so I know MOST breeds will be fine if properly socialized then). I am looking for a dog that is, well not exactly "low maintenance", but I don't want a very NEEDY dog that whines constantly and needs constant attention. I want a dog that won't try to kill my cats, but it is okay if they were bred for hunting, as long as it can be trained out of them. This is what a based most of what I said about each breed on. Grooming is a minor concern, I am willing to take the dog to the groomers once a month, and I can devote 10-30 minutes grooming the dog every day. I posted it again because LIKE I SAID, when I posted it I didn't have the additional details. I don't want a "puggle" because there is no such thing as a "puggle" and I am not going to support some idiotic BYB! I want a REAL breed of dog that I can show in CONFORMATION. Something you have probably never heard of because you think dogs like "puggles" are real breeds! Lovemydogs, this is the SECOND time I have posted this question, and I added a lot more personal info on this question... My dad is the one who helped me make the list that I put up, and he said that I can get one around April. I know that showing a dog is more than just showing up. People can be so rude here. This question is not about how to show dogs, it is just me asking for peoples personal experience with the breeds I listed. I meant the first part of your answer was rude. I know not to get my heart set on a specific breed, that is why I asked for TEN, that way one of them is bound to end up near me. I am not going to pick a breed just because the breeder or mentor is closer. Well I must have been mistaken about the Parson Russel Terrier, but I looked on a dog breed website and it said that they had changed it in 2003. I don't mean low maintenance for grooming, I am willing to do that, I mean low maintenance as in, not very needy. My dad had a JRT when he was little, and it never tried to eat his cat. That's why I thought that you could train them not to eat cats.
