Greyhound? Does anyone like traveling long distances on Greyhound? I am leavin Saturday to go from Colorado to West Virginia.

How do I introduce my greyhound to the new kitten? I have a 2 yr old female greyhound, and I just got a male Ragdoll kitten. So far they've only met with the bars of a cage or gate between them. The greyhound isn't acting agressive, more like she wants to play. However, with the way she plays with her toys, I'm not sure the kitten would survive! She snaps her teeth at the kitten, which is what she tends to do when she's in a playful mood. I'm just afraid of the kitten getting hurt accidentally. Any suggestions?

How long would a greyhound be happy being left on its own? I am thinking of rehoming a greyhound. My partner and I work fairly long hours and would not consider getting any other breed of dog that requires more active attention during the day, but I understand greyhounds are happy to sleep most of the day. If someone were to come in midday to let it out for a short walk, does anyone know if the dog would then be content on its own for 4 or 5 hours before and after that midday break until either me or my partner gets home? I would not wish to take on a dog if its going to be unhappy with my lifestyle, but I also wouldn't a greyhound to miss out on being rehomed if it is feasible for me to do so.

Are there any bus lines other than Greyhound that go from Houston To Dallas? Greyhound has gotten so hopped up and self important that they're charging outrageous fees to go from Houston to Dallas. ($167 was the cheapest I could find. You could fly for that!) There is the UT bus, which is much less, but you have to either be a student or know a student, and I fall into neither of those categories. So another bus line would be really fantastic. Help?

How long can Valley Fever stay dormant in a greyhound before causing real heath problems? My greyhound raced in Arizona but has live in BC with us for 5 almost 6 years. She has always had minor coughing and lameness due to what we thought was arthritis. In November of 2006 she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer). OS tends to take dogs quickly and we opted for pain management only but now 9 months later she has a large tumor in her right leg and is sometimes completely lame and other times looks fine and runs full speed. She eats well and most of the time is a happy dog. Someone has suggested this could be Valley Fever but is it possible almost 6 years later? Vets up here do not know of Vallet fever so i am trying to do research before bringing this possibility to them.

I am coming in on a greyhound bus to the main station and then leaving on an Amtrak train. I need to know how far the two places are apart and generally how long of a layover to plan.
