Charter buses.? Do charter buses have seat belts? Normal school buses do not, and I didn't know if it was any different for charter buses. Also do they have restrooms? What about seats, are they larger, or smaller? And do the arm rests (if any) go up? What other features are on charter buses? And what about safety, it seems you hear all the time about them crashing.
What is the law in California regarding baby carseats and charter buses? We will be visiting Disneyland with our 18 month old daughter and traveling by charter bus from LAX to our hotel in Anaheim. We will not be travelling in a car at all, only charter buses and possibly a taxi. Are we required by law to bring a car seat for the charter bus? Is it even possible to attach the seat (as there usually are no seatbelts in charter buses)?
Are there power outlets available on charter buses? I am taking a trip to DC in June of 2009 and I am bringing my laptop along to keep myself busy and the people sitting next to me on the bus. I am trying to figure out if there are power outlets available on the charter buses since it will be a 12 hour trip and I can only get ahold of a 6 hour battery at the most. I plan on doing some music playing and movie watching.
Complaints against charter buses? I traveled this past weekend with a charter bus company that provided AWFUL service. First of all the bus had tons of mechanical problems, and then it had a cracked front tire. I think that was very dangerous. Don't want to mention a ton of other things wrong with this bus company but want to do something about it. They need to stop putting people's lives in danger. Does any one know what I can do? where I can complain?

Where Do You Park 10,000 Charter Buses? Where Do You Park 10,000 Charter Buses? Getting Riders to Swearing-In A Trickier Puzzle for Planners By Lena H. Sun Washington Post Staff Writer Tuesday, December 9, 2008; A01 Transportation planners for President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration say an estimated 10,000 charter buses will arrive in the Washington area for the event, posing what they say would be an unprecedented logistical nightmare. The estimate is based on bookings, queries from operators and projections of crowd size from D.C. officials, according to Eron Shosteck, a senior vice president of the American Bus Association, which represents 800 independent bus operators. That number does not include smaller buses or passenger vans organized by churches and other groups.
Why do commercial charter buses keep their engines running for hours in parking lots? I've noticed that charter buses keep their engines running for up to an entire day while their groups are out doing things. I work at an aquarium, and I've witnessed a bus sit, running, in the parking lot from 6:45am when the group checked in until after 6pm when the group left. As someone who is conscious about carbon emissions, it irks me to have a bus spewing diesel in our own parking lot! Is there a good excuse to keep the engine running or is it simply that the driver wants the air-conditioning on? One thing that I'll add is that groups who are housed at the aquarium for extended periods of time (several days) always give a room to the bus driver. Therefore, the driver doesn't have to sit in the bus if he or she doesn't want to. In addition, drivers are welcome to accompany groups into the aquarium free of charge.

How big is the gas tank on a full size charter bus? I am doing a project for a class and I have to start my own company. We were wanting to start a tour company in France and use a charter bus as means of our transportation. I have tried to look it up on the internet but am having no luck on finding out how big the gas tanks are on a full size charter bus. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What year would make a Charter Bus be considered old? I'm looking to charter a bus and wanted to get some idea of what I should look for, especially what constitutes a charter bus to be considered old? What year? What lack of amenities? What should I require the company to provide me to ensure we're getting the best bus and deal?
Can anyone give me advice on which seat to sit in on a charter bus? Tomorrow, our choir will be leaving for our annual choir tour. This is the first time I've ever been and I'm not quite sure how comfortable a very long ride is on a charter bus. If my knees are kept bent for a long time they tend to hurt. So my question is, should I sit in the aisle seat or would I be alright in the window seat like I want? How much leg room is on a charter bus?
How much to hire a charter aircraft from LAX & San Diego to Ensenada, Mexico, 5-10x/wk? I need to find options for regularly (5-10 times/week) transporting 25-35 upscale American guests from San Diego and greater Los Angeles to Ensenada, Mexico (85 miles south of the border). * Ensenada's airport (ESE) can accommodate turboprop and private jet aircraft. * ESE serves as an international "port of entry", meaning passengers from the US can clear directly into Ensenada. I'm also open to other creative solutions. The travel will "bookend" our guests' visit, so it must be relaxed and stress free--especially since most guests, rightly or wrongly, have reservations about traveling in Mexico. (I hope this isn't TOO much info! But, ...) * 70% of guests are female, 35-55 years old, household income $150k+ * Bus travel is not an option unless it is extraordinarily luxurious; and, unless Tijuana/San Diego border crossing procedure can be quick and efficient (I understand this is unlikely, but perhaps charter buses enjoy streamlined passage?) Need great research & creativity! Thx!

I am traveling to pigeon forge, tennessee mid July 2007 however I would like to travel on a charter bus? I will be staying in the cabins in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee around Mid-July 2007 for 4 days. I would like to find a charter bus that is in Illinois to ride to Tennessee and that bus would also bring me back to Illinois. I tried greyhound bus and they only go to Memphis. I can't find any info on Amtrak for Tennessee. When I was there before looking at the appalacian mountains I remember there was a 2 charter buses there. One was unloading children with their teacher to look at the mountains and one was unloading senior citizens to look at the mountains. Both buses loaded them back on the bus. I'm looking for a bus that would get me to the cabins and then back home and maybe some touring in between. Does anybody have any names of charter buses in Illinois or maybe what company they have traveled with that will get me to Tennessee and back? Thanks in advance guys!
